With politics constantly changing through social, economic, and cultural advances the space for discussion often feels like a minefield. Our fear of being socially rejected prevents any in-depth analysis of the most crucial, sensitive, and complex issues of our time. And so, I want to play the Devils Advocate. The questions I ask or the stances I take are not necessarily the ones I personally support. Sometimes they will be controversial. Even then the purpose is not to make people uncomfortable but rather engage them in an interesting discussion that goes beyond the limits of permissibility.

This episode is Part II in our 'Feminism' two-part series. For this episode, we talk to Reubs Walsh. I met Reubs through a transgender charity; she is a Ph.D. candidate in neuroscience. Our discussion covers a wide range of topics, from science to how the feminist movement might be outdated and ways to renew it. As with Part I (with Sheila Jeffreys), these topics are quite sensitive, and some discussions might cause some discomfort. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, please do not pursue the episode any further. However, our intention- as always- is to ask beyond the bounds of permissibility without overstepping respect. For this episode, we talk to Sheila Jeffreys, a self-proclaimed radical feminist and political lesbian. The episode covers a range of issues from transgender people, what feminism means, the issues women still face, pornography, and sex. The content can be quite uncomfortable to listen to given some of Miss Jeffreys' opinions and the sensitivity of the issues at hand. Thus, a disclaimer is important to highlight that some of the responses are not suitable for young listeners. The podcast does not represent Miss Jeffreys views or credits them through her appearance. The aim is always to broaden the discussion and challenge even the views that we don't want to acknowledge.
