For the next ep of Spectral Voices I invited @ohm-599575574, a mainstay of the Icelandic techno scene with over 20 releases on labels such as Thule records, Rawax, Kontakt, Solid Groove, Taped Artifact, Ranges, Vade mecum, Vuo records and AE Recordings which he co-ran with Octal Industries and Thor from Thule Records. Now, Ohm runs his own imprint called 'Ohm Series', where he shines a light on a mixture of well-beloved veterans and some vibrant new names pushing techno's sonic boundaries. His integrity to the dub techno sound is the cornerstone of its operation. I play for most of the first hour, then Ohm's mix starts from 53mins. thanks to @refugeworldwide https://www.discogs.com/label/2338207-OHM-Series https://ohmseries.bandcamp.com/

The next addition to the Spectral Voices podcast family is @basischange Hailing from London, UK, Basis Change is a new and warmly welcomed presence within the deep techno scene. He has had a string of releases/appearances on vital labels such at The God's Planet, Affin, Edit Select, Circular Limited, and more. His sound takes on a backdrop of epic, atmospheric quality whilst deep, pulsating grooves boom from below. Please enjoy this heads down, deeply psychedelic 1h journey. https://soundcloud.com/basischange https://www.instagram.com/basischange/

Entering 2022 with new episode of Spectral Voices. Please welcome SG :)! SG is made up of J.Dennis (Greg Palmer) & Svetnik (Svetoslav Stoyanov), both skilful and dedicated producers, record collectors, label owners, and cherished friends. (look out for their ‘Between Fields’ imprint, which has already had a super release by the duo, and a label compilation lined up for this year). Their mix is a refreshing interpretation on the Spectral Voices series and a true testament to their boundless take on deep, broken, dubby and atmospheric sounds. It follows a meticulous and coherent path that seamlessly drifts between multiple planes of energy, driven by low slung, whacked out beat patterns and deep low ends, whilst welded together with ethereal overtones and moments of otherworldly atmosphere. One can hear nostalgic whispers from an endless pool of inspirations that range through ambient, hip hop, garage, dub, jazz, house, idm, uk bass and more, which bolster the unique character of this journey and keep the mix interesting throughout. https://soundcloud.com/j-dennis-sounds https://soundcloud.com/svetnik https://soundcloud.com/betweenfields 1.
