If you opt out of blindfolding yourself like Mariah used to for writing!... Something simple I find helpful is to turn my phone on silent and simply write using physical materials that I am fond of and then doing the digital version of it later once it evolves more and more as my ideas become refined through the physical process first!

Mariah pivoted from studying architecture to art history and now lives in a 100 year old attic in Indianapolis, Indiana in the US. Her unique life story and perspective on art is compelling and led to an epic free flowing podcast packed with thought provoking insights in 3 parts.. This is the first one. Enjoy!

Kevin is my brother and we often dissect the interrelated creative processes we engage in on a regular basis. In this episode we reflect on the 'inner saboteur' that often holds creative people back and dissect how to understand and overcome it. As a random side-note we also send each other ridiculous amounts of off the cuff funny voice messages over whatsapp leaving each other in stitches. It got to the point where we recently decided to mass download them to edit on a timeline like some sort of crazy stream of consciousness comedy extravaganza that we will 'feck up on youtube' when its ready. MOB is visual gallery exhibiting artist Michael O'Brien and Pharaii Dambisa is County Kerry based performing and recording rapper/poet. Pharaii is currently pushing himself as a highly devoted student of piano, saxophone and flute to further expand on his genre bending sound that comes from a visceral place of authenticity that is wholly committed to ever expanding self expression.
