Ep. 43: We're Back! Red Rising!
2026/07/18
After 4 long years, Jacob and I have made it back to the booth (my kitchen table). We very briefly talk about where we've been (nowhere) and quickly talk about the Red Rising trilogy. Obvious spoiler warnings for this, as we dive into everything Darrow got up to, the betrayals, the best moments, things we wish were different. Consider this your book club meeting if you haven't had anyone to talk to about the series yet, or consider it your introduction to the series that you NEED to read. Enjoy! @milkandscreams @kyle_jagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 42: The Karen Threshold
2022/09/26
I'm sure everyone is always tired of hearing about the Karens of the world, so we thought we'd switch it up and involve ourselves. How much would it take to pull us to the other side? What vast amount of things would need to be going wrong for us to begin to transform into the creature we all love to hate? That's what we attempt to find out. Also we try to give Jacob a stage name and realize we're not very creative when we're exhausted. So fun, love you, mwah. @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 41: Please Don't Try Waffle Stomping
2022/09/11
There is a site that haunts the internet called urban dictionary. This site has some of the most bizarre phrases for occurrences that you would assume never even happen in the first place. Kyle recently learned of a new one, and it in fact does happen and even has historical roots (unfortunately). So we play a game of figuring out whether Jacob can define what random urban dictionary words mean. After that, we go into our grievances with She-Hulk and debate whether it's because the show is just objectively only okay, or if it's because we've lost the ability to simply enjoy a show for what it is. Have we "grown up" too much? Should we strive to stop "growing up" at all? (I call this Panning, like Peter Pan, I'll add it to urban dictionary later). Come join in on the introspection! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 40: Nicknames and the fall of HBO
2022/09/06
Most people grew up with some nickname or another (for better or worse). Today we're talking about the nicknames we've had over the years as well as a new one Kyle has recently picked up at work. We also talk about whatever the fudge it is HBO is doing to slowly hemorrhage themselves of money and subscribers, and us of our joy. Tune in, ya might learn a thing or two. You don't know everything. Stop acting like you do. I don't know where I'm going with this, so enjoy the show! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 39: Fortnite is Back
2022/08/28
So we're a little sorry about this, but this episode is a lot of Fortnite talk. For some reason, we've both been playing quite a bit and we wanted to talk about it. If that's not your thing, we totally get it, but give it a listen just cuz you like us. We also talk about how Disney operates so strangely when it comes to sickness and pharmaceutical needs in general, so stick around for that as well!\ @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 38: The Chair That Broke The Internet
2022/08/14
Listen. Chairs are nice. They do a very simple job and they do it pretty well. They have never done it SO well that they should cost more than a down payment on a car (a really crap car, but still). We talk about the restock of the Valkyrae chair and what changes we would make to warrant such a high price point. We also randomly pivot to a discussion about the 5 senses and which one we'd rather lose (there is a correct answer, in our opinion(s)). So join in the fun, laugh with/at us, and when it's over, sit around waiting for the next episode to come out (be honest, what else do you have going on in your life besides us?). @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 37: The End of an Era
2022/07/31
Well it's been a while, but we're back, and we're coming at you from apartment 243 for the very last time. Kyle is moving and the roommate era is officially over. Today we're reminiscing on what life has been like living together for the past two years and wondering what the future has for the both of us. The podcast will resume, hopefully more frequently now that we need an excuse to keep up with each other. Tune in for this final roommate episode! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1 Dunkey Videos: Fall Guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJrNzEurrg4 Elden Ring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjHe05UG0aU Rocket League: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMfpKQaZKhg&t=145s Lindsay Ellis: WHYYYY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CameSDK-2m8 Rhett and Link: Drake Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbBs5QqiClU Bruno Mars Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW4ex4SCFBc Youresoloud (Rhett and Link compilations) Being Southern Bois: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYZ1SH2sIaE Link Struggling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7d1WhhGoeE Smosh: Try Not To Laugh (Episode 34): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP1m0bGsQCk
Ep. 36: Should We Get Rid of All Our Stuff? (Minimalism)
2022/04/17
Hello we're back and we have reasons but we're not getting in to them here. We're talking about the concept of minimalism. There is definitely such a thing as having too much stuff, but does that mean you should get rid of EVERYTHING nonessential? There's also the case of just simply not being content with where you're at in life. Is condensing your earthly possessions down to necessities and nothing else a solution or just a fantastical cure-all that has no substance? Let's discuss! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 35: World Records We Think That We Can Beat
2022/01/23
There are a lot of world records, most of them pointless in nature. Eating a lot of food, collecting a bunch of garbage, doing some activity for some amount of time that's way too long. There are always some you come across that seem quite beatable (at least at first glance). Today we're going through some of the ones we've found that we think we could beat, or even demolish, given the time. Before we get into that, we have a discussion about what our last meal on Earth might consist of if we could choose. This episode is full of information you can take and utilize - foods we love that you might and records that you can try to break yourself if we don't beat you to it. So listen in and join us on the adventure in becoming the best in the world at something! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 34: Finally a 2022 Episode, But What Took Us So Long?
2022/01/17
Well it's been a rollercoaster of a month for the both of us. We get into the specifics of why it took so long to have an episode about entering the new year. It's a bunch of stories involving Covid, kidney stones and a lot of self-reflecting. So we're entering the new year optimistic and ready to achieve some realistic and down-to-earth goals. Join us as we go through the mayhem that the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 brought us. @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 33: The Effects of Being Sheltered
2021/12/12
Growing up in Christian households, we were both quite sheltered. Christian music only, PG movies, no Harry Potter, the whole shebang (more or less). So what happened afterward? How much did we have to find? How much time did we spend learning about all the things we missed out on so that we could actually hold a conversation with people? Are we still way behind on everything? Find out what we missed and what we did to make up for it in today's episode! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 32: It's Been A Year
2021/11/15
The podcast is officially a full year old! We don't have anything super special planned, but it's fun to at least acknowledge a milestone like this. We get on the subject of memory and how it's a fickle thing, and we spend way too long remembering who taught us in high school, so you can skip all that garbage if you want. We left it in for flavor and spice. Enjoy, and thanks for being here for a full year! (And if you're new or watching this way in the future, just pretend I'm still talking to you, cuz we appreciate you as well).
Ep. 31: The Stories of Halloweens Past
2021/10/31
Spooky season ends today folks! Get into your costumes, grab a bucket of candy and relax while we talk about what Halloween has always been to us. There are stories, ideas we never got to fulfill, a rant on all the people that think people are trying to drug their children: we got it all! So have yourselves a fantastic Halloween and start blasting that Christmas music tomorrow! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 30: A Marriage Conversation From 2 Single Idiots
2021/10/24
Before you get excited, neither one of us is getting married. Or is even remotely close to a step that resembles anything close to it. But, two of Kyle's best friends just got engaged and it got us thinking about marriage. Jacob doesn't want kids, so does he want to get married? Kyle absolutely wants to get married, but when? What's the best time? Are weddings as good as they can be? We have a lot of questions and a lot of answers to accompany them, so listen in and catch the wedding fever! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
Ep. 29: Inventions That Will Shape The Future
2021/09/12
Okay, we lied with the title a little bit, but you never know! Today we're talking about invention ideas we've had throughout our lives that we think would be big hitters or are at least necessary if nothing else. Combined, we have 1.5 brains and we think that's enough to come up with some good ideas. So listen in and let us know what ideas you've had so we can steal them and not credit you at all! @milkandscreams @kylejagielski @JakeYeller1
