Who Does the Kingdom Honor
2026/09/21
Are you a Christian leader who wants to grow in your leadership and lead more like Christ? Check out our sister publication, Healthy Leaders. Twice a month we share practical advice and wisdom for Christian leaders, rooted in the Bible and applied directly to life. Join us! Welcome to In the Word with Malcolm Webber. Timothy genuinely cared for the people of God, with a deep, sincere affection. And Epaphroditus, his co-laborer in Christ, gave so much in service that he nearly died doing it. These are the servants the kingdom honors, the ones who pour themselves out for others. Let’s look more closely at them now, in this second part of Malcolm's message on Philippians 2, “Who Does the Kingdom Honor?” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Check out our sister publication, Healthy Leaders, * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: Abusive Leadership (SBL 6) * Article: Log, Stork, or Servant Leader — Which Will You Be? * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings New to the series? What It Costs to Lead Like Jesus
2026/09/14
Welcome to In the Word with Malcolm Webber. Servant leadership is the calling of every Christian, in every part of life. In Philippians 2, Paul holds up three extraordinary examples of self-giving love: Jesus himself, the Apostle Paul, and his young co-worker Timothy. Each of these examples shows us a different angle on what pouring out your life for others looks like. Let’s get into it, with the first part of Malcolm’s message on Philippians 2, “What It Costs to Lead Like Jesus.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Article: The Transformational Power of Leading Like Jesus * Book: Abusive Leadership (SBL 6) * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings Are you a Christian leader who wants to grow in your leadership and lead more like Christ? The Fire Is Part of God's Plan
2026/09/07

The hardships we can’t fix and the pain we can’t outrun are the instruments God uses to form us in Christ. Here’s Malcolm with more on this, in the second part of his message on Philippians 3:10-11, “The Fire Is Part of the Plan.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: Encouragement to Suffering Saints (A Brief Exposition of 1 Peter) * Audio Teaching: The Power of the Wilderness * Audio Teaching: Doing Well in the Fire * A Learning Design for Turning to Jesus in Suffering * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings This is a public episode. But how do we grow in union with Christ in a practical way? And how can we help others to grow? Malcolm outlines four powerful ways that God forms and transforms our lives, in the first part of his message on Philippians 3:10-11, “Stop Drifting and Start Growing.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: To Enjoy Him Forever * Audio Teaching: Doing Well in the Fire * A Learning Design for Turning to Jesus in Suffering * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings This is a public episode. The God Who Keeps You
2026/08/03
Welcome to In the Word with Malcolm Webber. In this series of messages on eternal security, we’ve been working through some urgent questions: What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Is it the same as apostasy? And how should we counsel someone who fears they have gone too far from God to be restored? Find out in this final part of Malcolm’s message on Philippians 2:12-13, “The God Who Keeps You.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: God Is Sovereign: Transformational Theology 3 * A Learning Design for Being Secure in Christ’s Love * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings New to the series? How Apostasy Happens, and How to Avoid It
2026/07/27
Welcome to In the Word with Malcolm Webber. The Bible teaches eternal security without compromise — no one can snatch you from the Father's hand. But the Bible also plainly teaches that a genuine believer can harden their heart over time, resist the Holy Spirit, and ultimately walk away from God altogether. This is the process of apostasy, which we will look at more closely today, in the third part of Malcolm’s message on Philippians 2:12-13, “How Apostasy Happens, and How to Avoid It.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: God Is Sovereign: Transformational Theology 3 * A Learning Design for Being Secure in Christ’s Love * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings New to the series? The Truth About Eternal Security
2026/07/13
Welcome back to In the Word with Malcolm Webber! The Bible clearly teaches that believers are eternally secure in Christ — and it also clearly teaches that a genuine believer can fall away and lose their salvation. Rather than forcing one truth to cancel out the other, we must embrace both fully! Find out more in the second part of Malcolm's message on Philippians 2:12-13, “The Truth About Eternal Security.” Related Resources from LeaderSource * Book: True Giving: A Brief Exposition of Philippians * Book: God Is Sovereign: Transformational Theology 3 * A Learning Design for Being Secure in Christ’s Love * For More Teaching on Common Errors: Malcolm’s Musings New to the series? 2026/07/06

God Works in You to Will and to Act (Philippians 2:12-16), Pt. 2
2026/05/04
Welcome back to In the Word with Malcolm Webber! Complaining (which involves self-pity) and arguing (which involves self-justification) are the very opposite of true servanthood ‒ they are the expressions of our own self-will, fighting for what we want, rather than putting others first. To give these up is at the heart of new life in Christ.
