We speak to members of the Military Wives Choirs, of which there are 72 in the UK and beyond, which is for all women from the armed forces community, including veterans. They talk about how they got involved, what they get out of it, their highlights and favourite songs to sing. Their choirs in Scotland are inviting new people to join, no previous experience or talent required – it’s about singing, sharing and supporting. We also interviewed Bryan Marshall who is the choirmaster for Westerton Male Voice choir which is predominantly older men, plus a leading light in Luminate’s Dementia Choirs network.

In this episode we discuss how older members of the ex-service community in Scotland can boost their spiritual well-being, and who can help.   We talk to Rev Phil Patterson, founder of Veterans Chapliancy Scotland, and Richard Baker of Faith in Older People and Sight Scotland Veterans.  We also meet veterans Tommy, who talks about how his christian faith supports him, and John, who has turned to yoga to support him through life's challenges.
