Amanda Dolin, MA, PCC, CPC, ELI-MP, has always been passionate about helping people live fulfilled and joyful lives. She earned her master’s in counseling psychology and is a trained Energy Leadership coach. She worked for several non-profits and moved into corporate HR before becoming a stay-at-home mom and community volunteer. During those stay-at-home years, Amanda was diagnosed with a mental illness after 21 years of searching for answers. After her experience of struggling to find care, feeling dismissed, and letting go of the stigma of mental illness, she has become an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness and accessible, comprehensive, and affordable care. Amanda strongly believes that everyone should spend time caring for their mental well-being just as they do for their physical health.   Now that Amanda has control of her mental wellness and physical health, she has returned to working full-time and is an involved parent to two awesome, if sometimes annoying, teenagers. She also has three dogs, about 40 plants, and a turtle she cares for. In this episode, Amanda and I discuss her long history of seeking help for her depression until she finally received an accurate diagnosis and medicine for her mental health issues.
