Dr Laurence Brown is a retired Air Force officer, the medical director and chief ophthalmologist of a major eye center in the Middle East, an ordained interfaith minister, and the author of four books of comparative religion and three novels.

Dr. Rainer Spanagel is a professor of psychopharmacology at the Central Institute of Mental Health (Mannheim) of Heidelberg University, where he is director of the Institute of Psychopharmacology. The institute’s work centers on the animal experimental and translational research of alcohol and drug addiction. Dr. Spanagel also studies how addictive behavior can occur with other psychiatric disorders, specifically anxiety, depression, and ADHD, as well as conducting research on social exclusion and borderline personality disorders.
