Description
VCmisi is a podcast dedicated to delivering information and sharing insights about the Southeast Asian startup ecosystem, especially from the VC perspectives. The name itself comes from the words: VC and 'misi', which stand for Venture Capital and 'asking for permission' in Indonesia. There is also another hidden meaning too, with the words combined sounding like vision and mission in Indonesian. Here in VCmisi, we want to understand the purpose and impact the startup ecosystem has on Southeast Asian society and how our guests contribute to making those things happen.

Ryan De Souza is an amazing friend, senior, and mentor who was an investment analyst at Scrum Ventures, a US-based Venture Capital firm.
In this episode, he shares his passion for Decentralized Finance, his drive and ambitions in impacting the wider society, his grit in going through a one-and-a-half year of remote internship in an opposite timezone, and his dreams to be listed in the Forbes Midas List.
With his experiences and future aspirations being packed in this 45-minutes podcast, I assure you that this episode will put you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know more!
Episode 2: Can Engineers be Venture Capitalists?
2021/06/28
Reinaldo Gani is a senior of mine who came from the same hometown. His interest in microchips made him apply to NTU as a material scientist before transferring to EEE. Having graduated from NTU with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he managed to work as a Product Manager in Grab and Bytedance before finally taking an associate position in Saison Capital. What makes him change? And how different is his current venture capital role compared to his previous stints?
Episode 1: Entrepreneurs' Hacks in Fundraising
2021/05/09
Timo Fukar, a great friend of mine and also a venture capitalist from Golden Gate Ventures, is sharing his journey to becoming a VC and how his experiences living in Indonesia have shaped him as a person. He also gives advice and insights to future founders who want to raise funds for their startups. I learned so much from him, and I believe you will too!
