Knox Country Mayor Glenn Jacobs (also known as KANE from WWE) joins me on the show today to talk about his history as an athlete, and how that helped him transition smoothly into a life of politics.  He was at the House of Sport recently for the Mayor's Night of Champions. While the event was going on, I went around and talked to a lot of the high school athletes. I asked them to talk about their favorite memories from their championship seasons. I talk to kids from CAK, Bearden, Powell, and Knoxville Catholic. I also caught up with WNML The Sports Animal's Joel Silverberg, who was the event's emcee. I also talk to Cooper Riehl from the House of Sport on this episode. He spoke not a word of English when he came to the states, but now he's an honor student weighing his options for the future. Should he play professionally, or work on a raspberry farm??? Ryan Cahak  has been involved with youth basketball in east TN for a long time. He played ball at Syracuse, but now works with the local AAU team, 865 Elite.    Emily Neuhauser is a teammate at the House of Sport. She played college basketball at a junior college in Illinois, but now works with athletes enjoying time out on The Field. For the last episode of 2021, I wanted to feature some real big-hitters in the Knoxville sports community.  Josh Ward grew up in Farragut and has been a sports radio host in Knoxville for 15+ years.
