Mark Zuckerberg manic focus on the Metaverse Recently in an interview, Mark Zuckerberg talked about how the he plans to manifest the Metaverse by having manic focus on it. Ehsan and I talk about whether the hype behind things like the Metaverse and NFTs are dying down. UK Online Safety Act and the EU Digital Market Act Two really big laws in Europe have huge consequences on social media and those who use it. The UK Online Safety may take tech executives to jail if they don't do what the government tells them to, while the EU is trying to open up systems so that someone on Instagram can talk to someone on iMessenger. NFTs get further bad press due to bad programming on OpenSeas, which allows bad actors to buy NFTs for a super cheap price through an exploit! We discuss how this might damage the reputation of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.  Theranos Trial The Theranos trial is one of the biggest scandals in Silicon Valley, and recently the verdict from the trial was announced. Ehsan and I discuss what Theranos is and why they are in trial in the first place. NFT Monkeys being stolen I finally decide to bite the bullet and go into what NFTs are. I attempt to explain it quickly in 5 minutes, as well as talking about what this means for the wider industry of NFTs and decentralised technology. What are NFTs? Are they the future? Where does Blockchain come in this? Are they inherently bad things? There's a lot of jargon in this section, but we do our best to explain it as clearly as possible so you can follow along.
