God Intended it for Good
2026/08/30
In the final chapter of Joseph's story, we find a tapestry woven with threads of suffering, forgiveness, and ultimately, hope. As Jeffrey eloquently shares, Joseph's journey reflects our own struggles with pain and the questions that arise when we face adversity.
Meanwhile Back at the Ranch
2026/08/23
As we reflect on Joseph’s story, we are reminded of the complexities of familial relationships, the power of forgiveness, and the divine orchestration in our lives. This retelling not only serves as a lesson in patience and growth but also as an invitation to consider our own journeys of reconciliation.
Prison to Palace
2026/08/16
We find Joseph stuck in prison and after helping out the Pharaoh’s cupbearer, he’s forgotten. Year’s later he’s remembered and God uses Joseph to save an entire nation from famine.
Faithful When Crushed
2026/08/09

God by the River

In Daniel chapter 12, we learn about a time of unprecedented distress, yet a promise of deliverance emerges for those whose names are written in the book. This assurance underscores the message that we are never abandoned, even when it seems like all hope is lost.
God Gives Names
2026/07/19
Daniel chapters 10 and 11 contrast two ways to get an identity for yourself. One is exhausting, the other is surprising.
God Running Towards You
2026/07/12
In Daniel 9 we meet Daniel once again where life hasn’t gone as he would have planned. His response is to pray but he doesn’t start where we think he might. He doesn’t start with a list of his problems. He starts with praise and that shapes everything about his prayer.
True Religion Is Not Virtual
2026/07/05
In a world where texting and social media dominate our conversations, we often forget the power of our words. James reminds us that true communication isn't just about speaking; it's about listening first.
God the Author
2026/06/28
From Loki to the Marvel universe, we keep dreaming up a rescuer who comes from beyond to make everything right. Daniel 8 asks whether that's just a good dream — or whether Someone really is writing our story. The answer is stranger, and better, than any of them.
God in the Clouds
2026/06/21
Daniel 7 reads like a nightmare: a raging sea, four beasts, a boasting horn covered in eyeballs. The beasts look like they’re in charge. But there's a second camera. It pulls back to a throne of fire and someone riding the clouds who is really in charge. This is the vision Jesus claimed to be about him when he was on trial for his life. What sounds strange and terrifying is actually the most encouraging thing a person in a chaotic world could read both in the ancient world and today.
God in the Den
2026/06/15
Daniel in the lion’s den is one of the most famous stories in the Bible. We take a look at Daniel’s prayer life and find that it wasn’t his discipline that was the secret to his ability to pray so regularly and in the face of great trial. It was something else.
God's Writing
2026/06/07
Belshazzar turned to gods of gold and silver which are comforting in the moment because he can hold them in his hands but they can’t see or hear him. If we look closely, we do the exact same thing. Daniel 5 shows us we can turn to the one who truly holds our lives in His hands.
God Above
2026/05/31
Daniel 4 tells the story of Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful king in the world, whose pride blinded him to the God standing right above him. "I raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored" (Daniel 4:34). Whether you're worn out from looking down at everything you've built or everything you lack, Daniel 4 is the good news that the King of heaven came down so we could finally look up — and rest.
Peace Like a River
2026/05/24
We live in chaotic times, but there is a peace that comes from God that cuts through it all.
