John and Mark attempt to summarize the life and legacy of Pope John Paul the Great! Who is this "Witness to Hope" as George Weigel described him, and what is his "Theology of the Body" about? Why is Theology of the Body considered, in George Weigel's terms, "a theological time bomb set to go off, with dramatic consequences, sometime in the third millennium of the Church”?   This is the first of one of many episodes based on Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body. 

What happened on Pentecost? What do spiritual gifts in the Book of Acts have to do with Christians today?

What does it mean that Jesus ascended into heaven? What does it mean for Christians?

How did Jesus save us? Mark and John continue to discuss various understandings of the atonement, this time focusing on St. Anselm and St. Aquinas' contributions.

How does Jesus of Nazareth's death save us today? What did Christ's death accomplish, and why? Are we saved by the cross alone, or by his life, resurrection, and ascension as well? Does the Church have only one way of understanding Jesus' sacrifice for us? Examine these questions and more as John and Mark begin to tackle the atonement!
