2.4.26 | Brandel Chamblee & Keith Stewart | LIV Finally Gets OWGR Points + Phoenix Open Preview
2026/02/04
LIV Golf is officially getting Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points—but only for top-10 finishers, and LIV is still not happy. Gary Williams breaks down what the OWGR board decided, why Data Golf says LIV “had a good day,” and what the decision means heading into a busy week in golf. Then Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee joins live from Scottsdale with a full breakdown of why the current ranking system is flawed (and why LIV should still be included), plus a bigger picture look at Scottie Scheffler’s dominance and whether we’re watching a truly historic run. To close it out, Keith Stewart from Read the Line joins in-studio with Waste Management Phoenix Open picks, betting angles, and why Maverick McNealy is a name to watch—plus thoughts on Brooks Koepka’s chances at TPC Scottsdale. 5 Clubs airs on Golf Channel and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (Channel 92). 0:00 Opening Thoughts 2:56 OGWR Gives LIV Ranking Points 12:58 Brandel Chamblee 32:20 Keith Stewart & Picks of the Week 41:44 Dogs of the Week FOLLOW 5 Clubs: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5clubsgolf/ X: https://x.com/5ClubsGolf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5ClubsGolf/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@5clubsgolf

2.2.26 | Lucas Glover on TGL and the PGA Tour’s Changing Landscape + Justin Rose Wins Again at 45
2026/02/02
On this episode of 5 Clubs, Gary Williams recaps a packed weekend across golf — highlighted by Justin Rose adding another milestone win as he continues to pile up victories on the PGA Tour (now 23 career PGA Tour wins) and proving that elite golf in your 40s is still very real. Then, Lucas Glover — a U.S. Open champion and six-time PGA Tour winner — joins to discuss what it takes to stay competitive through the ups and downs, why today’s rising players look more “ready” than ever, and how TGL has exceeded expectations — including what makes Billy Horschel such a perfect fit for the format. The conversation also dives into Scottie Scheffler and what stands out most from inside the ropes: humility, consistency, and a “Ben Hogan-esque” style of dominance — plus how (and whether) it’s fair to contextualize this run alongside Tiger Woods. Later, Gary reacts to the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions being shortened to 54 holes, featuring comments from Nelly Korda after her win — the 16th of her LPGA career. The show closes with a tribute to Scott Davenport — longtime head professional at Quail Hollow Club — and the impact he made on the game and everyone around him. 0:00 Opening Thoughts 2:20 Winners of the Weekend 3:15 Farmers Insurance Open Recap 4:35 Justin Rose's impressive win and career 13:55 Lucas Glover 33:23 Looking back at LPGA's First Event 43:55 Honoring Scott Davenport 5 Clubs airs on Golf Channel and PGA TOUR Radio on SiriusXM (Channel 92) FOLLOW 5 Clubs: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5clubsgolf/ X: https://x.com/5ClubsGolf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5ClubsGolf/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@5clubsgolf
1.28.26 |Frank Nobilo and Taylor Twellman | Brooks at the Farmers Insurance Open & LPGA Momentum
2026/01/28
On this Wednesday edition of 5 Clubs, Gary Williams breaks down what Brooks Koepka’s return means for the PGA TOUR — and why the “win” might be as much about the return itself as it is about results. Gary also previews the LPGA season, highlighting the tour’s depth, the importance of star power, and why Nelly Korda remains a major driver of mainstream attention as the LPGA continues evolving under new leadership. Frank Nobilo from CBS joins Gary to put Scottie Scheffler’s dominance in context — including the sensible way to talk about Scheffler in the same breath as Tiger Woods (and even Jack Nicklaus), what truly separates the greats, and why “closing on Sundays” is the common thread. Frank also weighs in on golf’s bigger-picture future: the PGA TOUR’s potential schedule contraction, how “less can feel like more,” rotating playoff venues, and why relegation/elevation matters to the product (and the spirit) of the game. Later, Taylor Twellman stops by ahead of the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where he’s competing alongside LPGA stars and celebrities. Twellman shares a powerful story about how golf helped save him after a career-ending concussion, why the sport’s mental demands are uniquely challenging, and how he balances focus, flow, and execution over a long round. Plus: Dogs of the Week and picks to close out the show. 1.27.26 | Sean Zak & Mel Reid | Scottie Era is here | 5 Clubs
2026/01/27
Scottie Scheffler just notched win No. 20, and Gary Williams makes the case that this isn’t a hot streak — it’s the start of the Scheffler era. We break down the historic pace (20 PGA TOUR wins and 4 majors before age 30), the margins that separate him from the field, and why the comparisons to golf’s all-time greats keep getting louder. Plus, Golf Magazine’s Sean Zak joins the show to discuss what makes Scheffler so hard to beat, why his “bad days” barely exist, and what that dominance does to everyone else chasing him. We also touch on Tommy Fleetwood’s mindset and what makes him one of the most relatable stars in the game. New 5 Clubs contributor Mel Reid joins Gary to talk LPGA storylines and the evolution of women’s golf coverage — including why more live coverage and better broadcast tech matter, how the LPGA can build stronger fan engagement, and the challenges (and upside) of a global tour schedule. Mel also shares her perspective on playing more iconic venues, where mixed events fit (and don’t fit), and what stands out most about Nelly Korda heading into the season. Listen to 5 Clubs on PGA TOUR Radio (SiriusXM Channel 92) and watch on Golf Channel. 0:00 - 15:40 Scottie's Dominance 16:02 - 32:09 Sean Zak 32:25 - 44:35 Mel Reid 44:53 - 46:13 Final Thoughts FOLLOW 5 Clubs: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5clubsgolf/ X: https://x.com/5ClubsGolf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5ClubsGolf/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@5clubsgolf
