Insecurity by Iliad
2026/10/16
Iliad kept popping up in my algorithm after I featured Tripolar back in episode 199, and for good reason! They kept that hard-rockin’ energy going. They have a few too many listens, but are too good not to share. Let’s check out “Insecurity” off their 2024 album Slug. 203: Out to Lunch by Open Mike Eagle
2026/10/09
I’m breaking all the rules for this one. I’ve been dealing with some health issues, so I’ve mostly been listening to comfort music. While rap is not my forte, I love Open Mike Eagle, and his brand new album, DOOMED!, quickly became favorite. Stream it everywhere, or better yet, buy it on Bandcamp, there are two Bandcamp Fridays left this year, 11/6 and 12/4. I’m featuring the opening track, “Out to Lunch,” enjoy! 202: Trainwreck by Good Morning Bedlam
2026/09/18
It’s the first of my new bi-weekly episodes, try not to listen to it all in one sitting. I’m featuring “Trainwreck” by Minnesota’s own Good Morning Bedlam. It’s a song that sounds like my brain the last few weeks. Hope you dig it. 201: Horseplay (inspired songs) EP by Deefur
2026/09/04
I’m back after a short break due to some construction that was going on at the house. I figured I’d ease everyone back into the show by sharing the EP I worked on this summer, Horseplay (inspired songs)! It was a project which took me on a roller coaster of emotions and I’m glad I stuck with it and it’s out in the world now. Then stick around afterward for some housekeeping announcements. 200: Stripped Down with DaDadoh
2026/07/31
I took the show on the road for the big 200th episode, while it didn’t go exactly as planned, the universe still gave me what I asked for, an interview with a great artist in Arizona. DaDadoh was kind enough to sit in the car with me for an interview just minutes after meeting for the first time. We talked about his origins in Virginia, moving to Phoenix, musical influences, transitioning from rock to rap and back again, and more. We ended the interview with a pretty raw performance of his song “Erik Kartman.” Shoutouts: PHX Firebird Events | Lou Moon | Savannah Meadow | Jess Artist’s Links: Instagram | Bandcamp | YouTube | Merch Contact Me: Deefur E.Y.P. x 110 Pod Playlist, updated weekly by Ed of Expand Your Playlist for your listening pleasure.
199: Doctor by TRIPOLAR
2026/07/24
Mogley, of Mogley and the Zoniez fame (episode 192), comes through once more with another great rec, TRIPOLAR. I’m featuring “Doctor,” the title track from their 2025 release Group Therapy. I loved the energy, the vocals, and they helped fill a void left by a band I had to boycott. Check ’em out! 198: James and the Giant Peach by George Washingtub
2026/07/17
This week I’m featuring “James and the Giant Peach” by George Washingtub thanks to a recommendation from Mogley and the Zoniez (episode 192). I was blown away by how spot-on the recommendation was, an immediate love at first listen. Take a listen and see if you can figure out why. 197: Cocaine Hero by The Rouge
2026/07/10
There are so many poophole loopholes in this week’s episode it might as well be called the Swiss cheese episode. I’ve mentioned this band so many times I figured it was only fair I dedicate an episode to the song that haunts my dreams, “Cocaine Hero” by the now disbanded The Rouge. 196: Ozone by Serf Ninjas
2026/07/03
I recently lifted the band on recommendations, I’m trying to get away from the algorithm and have a more personal, organic connection to the artists I feature. Serf Ninjas comes courtesy of Rowland. I enjoyed all their stuff, really reminded me of The Bicycats (check them out if you haven’t, episode 28). It took me a while to settle on a song, in the end I landed on “Ozone” off their 2023 album, Strife (and Striiife). 195: Hit Me Over The Head With It by Lucille Klement
2026/06/26
Lucille Klement popped up in my algorithm, probably after all the Kelsi Walker binge-listening I was doing, and it was love at first listen. The music and lyrics really resonated with me, and while some of you might scold me for sharing a song with significantly more than 1,000 listens, I say middle finger! These guys are too good not to share. Let’s check out “Hit Me Over The Head With It” off their brand new self-titled album. 194: Somewhere Between by Kelsi Walker
2026/06/19
I found Kelsi Walker thanks to a flyer shared by Mom Friend (episode 128). I checked out her music and was immediately captured by her big voice and how effortless it sounds. It cut me deep in my panza! Her two albums were in heavy rotation, I had a difficult time sharing just one song…almost brought two! In the end, I landed on “Somewhere Between” off 2019’s, Nervous Kid. Enjoy! 193: Use Your Delusions by Dave Cavallo
2026/06/12
In the early days of my podcasting career, producer Rod and I got to know a lot of other independent podcasters. One such individual was Rudy Cheese of Everyday Destruction Show. Many years later we finally got to meet Rudy while his was on tour with Austin-based Dropped Out. Where am I going with all this? Dave Cavallo, today’s feature, is the vocalist and guitarist of Dropped Out. Recently I got into his solo releases and thought I’d share “Use Your Delusions.” Enjoy! 192: Cheeseburgers by Mogley & The Zoniez
2026/06/05
I’ve been trying to build a more personal connection with some of the artists I feature on the podcast, in that spirit, this week’s band comes by way of Jess, my new best friend. We met on my recent trip to Arizona, and I figured I’d put her on the spot for some recommendations. She came through with Mogley & The Zoniez, longtime listeners will know exactly why I went with their song “Cheeseburgers.” Let’s check it out. 191: Workers’ Revolution (Unionized Version) by Estrogen Projection
2026/05/29
I found Estrogen Projection a while back, so long ago, in fact, that I thought they might’ve broken up. I didn’t see them posting much on the socials for a while, but it looks like they’re back in action. They’ve been posting shows, and while I’d love to catch one, they’re all the way in Lincoln, Nebraska, so that might not be in the cards for me. But if you’re in their neck of the woods, don’t miss out! I went with their energetic anthem, “Workers’ Revolution (Unionized Version)” turn it up! 190: Stripped Down with Rowland
2026/05/15
It’s a full house for this Stripped Down edition of the 110 Podcast as Kaylee, Heidi, Trevor, and Uncle Mike of Rowland (episode 179) somehow squeeze into my tiny spare bedroom to record a beautiful rendition of “Tear Stained,” followed by a short but sweet interview. We get into what it’s like making music as a family, branching out on their own, how the band name came to be, what success in music looks like to them, and a few other fun bits along the way.
