Stop Dimming Your Light: The Unexpected Spiritual Lessons of Dog Walking
2026/10/26
What happens when you stop dimming your light to make other people comfortable? Sometimes, the universe sends you a pack of dogs to help you figure it out. Hello, hello, beautiful humans! In this episode of The Healing Artist, I'm sharing some exciting personal news: I've started a part-time job working with dogs, and boy howdy, has it opened my heart in ways I didn't expect! This opportunity began months ago, after an encounter with a sweet dog named Reese helped me discover a whole new love for our four-legged friends. What followed was a journey of trusting the universe to provide, letting go of a path that wasn't meant for me, and staying open to opportunities I couldn't have imagined for myself. And now? I'm discovering some pretty profound spiritual lessons along the way. I'm talking about what happens when we dim our light, tone down our enthusiasm, or lower our energy to fit in with the people around us. I'm realizing that working with dogs gives me permission to show up with my whole heart, my full enthusiasm, and all the pizzazz I've sometimes felt the need to hold back. We're also exploring the magic of being present. Dog walking requires you to pay attention to what's happening right in front of you, whether you're navigating a new trail, watching for squirrels, or simply enjoying a dog's excitement. It's mindfulness in action, and I'm discovering how this unexpected job might transform my relationship with presence in everyday life. In this episode, we explore:🐾 Trusting the universe when you don't know how things will work out🐾 Following unexpected opportunities and allowing your heart to open🐾 Recognizing where you dim your light to make others comfortable🐾 Embracing your enthusiasm instead of shrinking yourself🐾 Finding mindfulness and spiritual growth in everyday experiences🐾 Learning to be fully present with the life unfolding around you A little something to ponder: Where in your life are you holding back your enthusiasm? Where are you making yourself smaller so other people can feel comfortable? And what might become possible if you let yourself shine? You never know where your healing journey will take you. Sometimes, the next big revelation arrives on four legs, covered in fur, and ready for a walk. If you'd like to explore energy healing, join my Return to Self-Love meditation community, or learn about my other offerings, visit https://fredahealing.com. Thanks for being here, beautiful human. I love you, and God, the universe, and Source love you, too. With love,Freda 💛 #TheHealingArtist #SpiritualGrowth #Mindfulness #SelfLove #TrustTheUniverse
Your Body Keeps the Score: Holistic Health, Chronic Stress & Learning to Slow Down with Dr. Mel
2026/10/19
What if feeling better starts with doing less, not more? 💛 In this episode of The Healing Artist, I'm joined by Dr. Melanie Icard, affectionately known as Dr. Mel, for a fascinating conversation about holistic health, chronic stress, metabolic health, self-worth, and what it really means to take care of ourselves. Dr. Mel's journey into medicine began long before medical school. After losing her mother to breast cancer at just 11 years old, she grew up carrying a fear that she, too, would die young. Years later, becoming a mother herself inspired her to explore what she could do to support her own health and create a different future for her son. That journey took her from conventional medicine into naturopathic medicine and a more comprehensive approach to health and healing. Today, Dr. Mel combines her medical background with holistic practices to help people explore their health, understand their bodies, and make changes that support their well-being. Her work focuses on metabolic health, blood sugar and glucose patterns, cardiovascular health, nutrition, inflammation, gut health, and nervous system regulation. One of my favorite threads in this conversation is the reminder that we can become so accustomed to taking care of everyone else that we forget we deserve care, too. Sometimes the next step in our healing isn't doing more. It's learning to slow down, listen, and let ourselves receive. Meet Dr. Mel Dr. Melanie Icard, known as Dr. Mel, is a naturopathic doctor with a background in conventional medicine. Self-Love, Safety & Liberation: Why Your Nervous System Needs to Feel Safe with Veronica Kelly
2026/10/12
What if the next level of your life doesn’t require you to DO more—but to feel safe enough to receive more? In this episode of The Healing Artist, I’m joined by liberation strategist, author, and holistic healer Veronica Kelly for a beautiful, expansive conversation about self-love, emotional freedom, nervous system safety, inherited patterns, energy, and reclaiming our power. Veronica shares the deeply personal story of how she went from a professional artist and performer to discovering EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) after realizing that subconscious beliefs were influencing the relationships she kept creating. We talk about what happens when we uncover the beliefs underneath our patterns, why healing can sometimes feel like an expansion followed by a contraction, and why creating safety in the nervous system is such an important part of becoming the person we’re ready to be. Veronica also shares a simple EFT practice you can use when you’re overwhelmed, frightened, or feeling like life is working against you: “Everything is working out for me. Even if I can’t see it right now. I am safe.” And yes, we actually do it together. We talk about the power of naming what you’re feeling, allowing yourself to have needs, slowing down enough to hear your own truth, protecting your attention, and choosing what you want to feed your energy. This conversation is ultimately about liberation—freeing ourselves from the beliefs, patterns, expectations, and inherited stories that no longer serve us so we can come home to ourselves. If you're navigating a big transition, questioning old patterns, working on self-love, or simply wondering what might be possible when you stop fighting yourself, I think you're going to get a lot out of this conversation. Come listen, breathe, tap, and remember: You are allowed to come back to yourself. Be the Tadpole: Ego Death, Death & Rebirth, and Learning to Just Be
2026/10/05
What happens when the version of you that got you here is no longer the version of you that can take you where you're going? In this episode of The Healing Artist, I'm talking about ego death, spiritual awakening, death and rebirth, and the strange, uncomfortable process of letting go of who I thought I was. I've been watching myself cling to the old versions of me—the tortured childhood, the starving artist, the rage, the constant striving, the need to accomplish the next thing—and realizing that even my healing journey had become another place where I was always trying to climb the next mountain. So what happens when I stop? What happens when I stop proving, stop striving, stop chasing the next milestone, and simply ask myself: What do I want right now? What do I need right now? During a solo camping trip, I had a series of experiences with a bunny, a dead bunny, white lilies, a river full of tadpoles and frogs, and eventually one very chonky tadpole that landed in my hand. And suddenly I understood: I have been trying to pretend to be the frog. But what if I could just be the tadpole? What if becoming is the whole point? This episode is about sitting in the void, releasing old identities, trusting the process of spiritual transformation, learning to receive, and remembering that I don't have to become some future version of myself to be enough right now. I also share some very strange and beautiful experiences around manifestation, receiving unexpected gifts, and learning to trust that life can unfold in ways I never could have planned. Maybe you don't need to have it all figured out. Maybe you're not behind. Maybe you're not supposed to be the frog yet. Maybe you get to be the tadpole. If you'd like to work with me, come visit me at https://fredahealing.com. You can learn more about Return to Self-Love, my morning meditation community, as well as my private healing sessions. And I'd love to know: Have you ever experienced an ego death or a season of death and rebirth in your own life? #EgoDeath #SpiritualAwakening #DeathAndRebirth #SelfLove #SpiritualHealing
Trusting Your Intuition When Everything Is Changing with Nicole Drummond
2026/09/28
What happens when your intuition gets louder—but your logical mind wants answers? In this episode of The Healing Artist, I’m joined by Nicole Drummond, an intuitive healer, channel, and mentor who helps highly sensitive people and empaths move beyond overthinking, self-doubt, and people-pleasing so they can develop trust in their own intuition and inner authority. Nicole and I have a deeply honest conversation about what it actually looks like to live a spiritual life while still being a human being in the world. Because awakening doesn't necessarily mean disappearing into an ashram. Sometimes you’re having a profound spiritual experience and then you still have to do the school run, buy groceries, put gas in the car, run your business, and figure out what’s for dinner. We talk about intuitive development, spiritual awakening, being highly sensitive, channeling, empathy, boundaries, learning to say no, and what happens when we stop trying to force ourselves into someone else's version of spirituality. Nicole shares her own journey from overthinking and self-doubt into trusting her intuition, including how she began recognizing herself as a channel and how following her intuition transformed the way she approached relationships, work, and her own life. We also talk about what Nicole calls “certificationitis”—the belief that we need one more course, one more qualification, one more teacher, or one more answer before we're allowed to trust ourselves. And then things get deliciously personal. Nicole generously gives me a mini intuitive/channeling session during the conversation, tuning into what I’m currently moving through around letting go, identity, beingness, ego death, and the tension between wanting to expand while also desperately wanting to remain fully human. She talks about the difference between learning something and remembering it. We explore the possibility that we are not actually incomplete—that perhaps the work isn't always about becoming someone new, but about allowing layers of who we thought we had to be to fall away. There’s a beautiful thread throughout this conversation about letting go, self-acceptance, discernment, and learning to sit with the unknown. And honestly? I needed this conversation. If you are highly sensitive, intuitive, empathic, spiritually awakening, questioning your path, or simply learning how to trust your own inner voice, I think there is something here for you. ✨ Learn more about Nicole Drummond:https://nicoledrummond.com/ ✨ Nicole’s Intuitive Development Training begins November 6, 2026:https://nicoledrummond.com/intuitive-training-level-1 You can also find Nicole on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and through her website. Ego Death, Spiritual Awakening & Learning to Just Be
2026/09/21
What happens when you ask the universe to help you become more visible—and suddenly realize you have a whole lot of inner work to do first? In this deeply personal episode of The Healing Artist, Freda shares what she’s been moving through during a massive ego death and spiritual awakening. After years of striving, achieving, healing, studying spirituality, and working toward becoming a spiritual teacher, she found herself being invited into something much harder: slowing down, becoming embodied, and learning to simply be. Freda talks openly about spiritual awakening, ego death, channeling, embodiment, spiritual protection, and why she has temporarily stepped back from Frequency Friday and her channeling practice. She shares a recent experience that caused her to reevaluate how she approaches channeling and spiritual practices, and why she has begun studying with a new teacher. This episode also explores the messy, nonlinear process of becoming a spiritual teacher—not presenting yourself as a fully formed expert, but allowing people to witness the unfolding along the way. If you’re experiencing a spiritual awakening, questioning your spiritual path, moving through an ego death, feeling called toward deeper embodiment, or simply learning how to stop striving and allow life to unfold, you may find something here for you. Freda also talks about:✨ spiritual awakening and ego death✨ becoming a spiritual teacher✨ channeling and spiritual protection✨ embodiment and staying in your body✨ surrendering the need to constantly achieve✨ trusting the unfolding of your spiritual path✨ stepping back from social media✨ finding your people and allowing yourself to be seen✨ healing, growth, and human consciousness And perhaps the biggest lesson of all: Sometimes the next step isn't to do more. Sometimes it's to stop. If you'd like to work with Freda, join Return to Self Love, explore private healing sessions, or learn more about her work, visit fredahealing.com. If this episode resonates with you, share it with a friend. Word of mouth is how The Healing Artist grows. 💛 #SpiritualAwakening #EgoDeath #SpiritualHealing #Embodiment #TheHealingArtist
What Mushrooms Can Teach Us About Belonging, Healing & Being Human
2026/09/14
What if mushrooms could teach us how to live? 🍄In this episode of The Healing Artist, I am joined by Madison Murphy Barney, Indigenous sister, author, and doula, to explore the extraordinary wisdom of mushrooms and the mycelial world.Madison is the author of Our Ancestors Want Us to Be Mushrooms: Wisdom for Living in Balance with the Planet and Each Other, a book that invites us to look to fungi—not as something separate from us, but as ancient teachers of interconnectedness, adaptability, creativity, cycles, reciprocity, and right relationship.Rather than trying to outsmart the planet or find another 30-step framework for living, Madison invites us to remember something much simpler:We are nature. And perhaps the natural world already knows things we've forgotten. Our conversation moves through some beautiful and challenging territory, including:🍄 Mycelial networks and interconnectedness🍄 What mushrooms can teach us about community🍄 Living in cycles of death, decomposition, and rebirth🍄 Why decomposition isn't destruction—but preparation for new growth🍄 Learning from nature instead of trying to control it🍄 Self-examination and personal accountability🍄 Healing in community🍄 Boundaries, rupture, repair, and relationships🍄 Why we may be too quick to sever relationships🍄 Belonging without abandoning ourselves🍄 Curiosity as a spiritual practice🍄 Our unique gifts and creativity🍄 Ancestral wisdom and resilience🍄 Hope during times of enormous change🍄 What it means to live in right relationship with ourselves, each other, and the planetOne of my favorite parts of our conversation is Madison's exploration of decomposition. We talk about our tendency to "burn it all down and start again," both personally and collectively. But mushrooms offer another possibility: instead of destroying everything and pretending the past didn't happen, we can digest what has happened, learn from it, and turn it into fertile soil for what comes next.We also explore something I think so many of us are wrestling with right now: the impulse to cut and run from relationships.Sometimes we absolutely need distance. Sometimes we need boundaries. But what if not every rupture requires permanent severance? What might become possible if we allowed things to breathe, made room for repair, and remembered that our individual healing is part of a much larger collective project?Madison also shares a beautiful practice for reconnecting with the natural world:Curiosity.Accountability.Accountability for the harm we've caused.Accountability to our creativity and gifts. And accountability to the generations who come after us.Madison reminds us that our ancestors have faced the end of the world as they knew it before—and they survived, adapted, created, loved, and built again. We come from resilient people. And perhaps we have more resilience than we realize.Learn more about Madison, her work, and her Threshold Alchemy offering:Madison Murphy Barney's websiteRead Madison's writing on Our Medicine:Our Medicine on SubstackFollow Madison on Instagram:@madisonmurphybarney on InstagramGet her book, Our Ancestors Want Us to Be Mushrooms:Order Madison's book on Bookshop.orgThe audiobook is also available, narrated by Madison herself. If this conversation opens something up for you and you'd like support on your own healing journey, I'd love to work with you.Explore private energy healing sessions, Elisabeth channeling, meditation offerings, and other ways to work together:Freda Maletsky Healing ArtsI'm Freda Maletsky, a semi-trance voice channel, energy healer, artist, and host of The Healing Artist.Thank you for being here. ❤️#MushroomWisdom #Mycelium #Healing

Being Seen: Worthiness, Trust, and the Courage to Receive
2026/08/24
What happens when you spend years asking the universe to let you be seen—and then suddenly, someone reflects back exactly who you are? In this very early-morning, coffee-in-hand episode of The Healing Artist, Freda shares something incredibly special: her very first podcast review. What begins as a celebration becomes a much deeper exploration of worthiness, being seen, receiving, manifestation, spiritual business, and the question she is currently learning to ask herself: What do I actually want? Freda reflects on building a spiritual business without forcing herself into structures that don't feel aligned, the tension between helping and receiving, and what happens when the path we've been creating begins to show us who we actually are. She also talks about trusting the body's signals, slowing down when hustle no longer feels good, allowing integration after deep spiritual work, and remembering that even those who teach and hold space for others need support, too. Most of all, this episode is about recognizing the evidence that sometimes arrives right in front of us. Maybe you're not invisible.Maybe you're not failing.Maybe the thing you've been asking for is already beginning to arrive. And maybe part of the work is learning how to receive it. This episode's reflection was made even more meaningful by a beautiful surprise: Tal Gur, Founder of Elevate Society and author of The Art of Fully Living, discovered The Healing Artist while searching for another podcast and shared a thoughtful review with his community. His team has published a wonderful review of The Healing Artist, and I am incredibly grateful for the time and care he put into reflecting back what this podcast has become. You can read Tal's full review here:https://elevatesociety.com/the-healing-artist-podcast-review/ You can learn more about Tal and The Art of Fully Living here:https://talgur.me/book/ Thank you, Tal, for seeing the work—and for taking the time to say so. ❤️ If you'd like to explore working with Freda through healing sessions, Elisabeth channeling sessions, Return to Self-Love, or her other offerings, visit fredahealing.com. The Healing Artist is a space for exploring spirituality, emotional healing, intuition, energy, conscious living, and the ongoing—and sometimes delightfully messy—journey of becoming more fully ourselves. #TheHealingArtist #SpiritualAwakening #SelfWorth #Manifestation #HealingJourney A Special Thank You to Tal Gur
I’m Ready to Be Found: A New Intention for The Healing Artist
2026/08/21
What happens when you realize the intention you started with is no longer the intention you need? In this Frequency Friday episode of The Healing Artist, Freda explores the power of setting—and resetting—an intention. When she first created the podcast, it was primarily for herself: to become comfortable being seen, improve her public speaking, learn to teach spiritual concepts, and step into her own voice. Those intentions have been fulfilled. Now, something new is emerging. Freda is ready to be found. In this episode, she asks Elisabeth what happens energetically when she shifts the intention of The Healing Artist from “I make this for myself” to “I make this to connect with my people.” The conversation explores intention setting, spiritual growth, visibility, external validation, finding your soul family, allowing yourself to be seen, and learning to receive rather than constantly push forward. Perhaps your people aren't missing. Perhaps they're simply still finding their way to you. Set the intention. Become available. And see what unfolds. If you'd like to work with Freda personally, visit fredahealing.com to explore healing sessions, Elisabeth channeling sessions, Return to Self Love, and other offerings. #SettingIntentions #SpiritualGrowth #FindingYourPeople #HealingJourney #TheHealingArtist
Are You Proving Yourself? The Hidden Energy of External Validation
2026/08/17
What are you trying to prove? In this deeply honest episode of The Healing Artist, Freda explores the subtle energy of proving—and the surprising realization that sometimes we aren't proving ourselves to other people at all. We're proving something to ourselves. Freda reflects on her healing journey, spiritual awakening, building a spiritual business, creating close to 200 podcast episodes, and the longing for external validation when the inner transformation hasn't yet translated into visible external success. What is the difference between proving and demonstrating? What happens when we stop asking our accomplishments to prove that we're worthy, capable, successful, or enough? And what if the life we've already created is actually the evidence we've been looking for? This is an honest meditation on self-worth, external validation, success, healing, receiving, and learning to recognize the extraordinary life that already exists beneath the need for a trophy. If you'd like to explore your own healing journey with Freda, visit fredahealing.com to learn more about private healing sessions, Elisabeth channeling sessions, and Return to Self Love. You Already Have the A+: Self-Forgiveness, Productivity & Letting Go
2026/08/14
What if you stopped trying to prove that you are worthy? In this Frequency Friday episode of The Healing Artist, Freda drops into a deeply personal channeling with Elisabeth about productivity, perfectionism, self-forgiveness, and the exhausting belief that we must constantly do more in order to be enough. What happens when we stop measuring our worth by how much we accomplish? What if the goals we've created for ourselves aren't actually requirements? What if we could slow down, reconnect with nature, honor the cycles of our lives, and simply allow ourselves to be? Elisabeth invites us to let go of rigid standards, patriarchal conditioning, and the need to perform—and reminds us that we have already gotten the A+. This is a conversation about self-forgiveness, rest, feminine cycles, spiritual awakening, worthiness, and learning to be rather than endlessly do. If you're feeling exhausted by your own expectations, constantly asking yourself whether you've done enough, or struggling to give yourself permission to rest, this episode is for you. ✨ Want to work with me?If my work resonates with you and you'd like to explore your own healing, visit fredahealing.com to learn more about my offerings.
