He Owed Her For Dinner, Ghosted Her… Then She Found His Obituary
2026/09/30
Send us Fan Mail This week on A Little Unhinged, there is A LOT to unpack. 😂 We’re starting close to home with a little Batesville nostalgia and the news that Rascal’s is making a comeback. Then things take a much more serious turn as we talk about the recent human-trafficking operation in Tupelo, the arrests that followed, and why stories like this are an important reminder that these crimes aren’t just happening somewhere else. Brittney also dives into the heartbreaking story surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s death.  And then…we get unhinged. 😳 A listener we’re calling “Ashton” sent in a dating story that begins with a dating app, a suspiciously “locked” debit card and an unpaid $100 dinner tab. That alone would’ve been enough. Except then the fiancée shows up. And then the guy DIES. And somehow THAT still isn’t the strangest part of this story. 👀 By the end, Brittney has one question for you: If you were Ashton, where would YOUR mind have gone? ⚠️ A note about this episode: Some stories discussed involve alleged criminal activity, death, trafficking and other sensitive subjects. Allegations and listener-submitted accounts are discussed as such and should not be interpreted as established fact unless otherwise stated. If you’ve got an unhinged story of your own — bad dates, relationships, family drama, friendships, creepy encounters, embarrassing moments or a story you’ve been dying to tell somebody — send it to A Little Unhinged! A woman who was supposed to be left for dead and life updates.
2026/09/16
Send us Fan Mail Well… A Lot Has Happened Life has been LIFE-ING lately, so this week we’re sitting down for a good old-fashioned catch-up—and somehow we go from family changes to a collapsed swimming pool, unexpected friendships, and an incredible story of faith and survival. Brittney shares the emotional transition of moving her grandmother into assisted living and what it’s like when the people who once helped take care of us begin needing that same care in return.  And because apparently we can’t have a normal week, the storm that rolled through last Sunday completely COLLAPSED Brittney’s pool. Yep. The entire thing.  Brittney also shares the crazy and unexpected way she connected with “Uncommon Karen” after seeing her as a guest on Lindsie Chrisley’s The Southern Tea. After Brittney made a TikTok about the episode, Karen saw it and reached out herself—and the two instantly connected. It’s a reminder that for all the negativity we hear about social media, sometimes it can bring people into our lives that we never would’ve met otherwise. Then the conversation takes a much deeper turn. We discuss a powerful story we came across about a woman who was kidnapped outside a gas station and taken to a hotel room, believing she was going to be raped and murdered. Terrified and desperate for comfort, she picked up the Bible in the room, held onto it, opened it, and began reading a verse. When she looked up, she said her attackers were gone. Whether you’re in the middle of an ordinary season, a difficult transition, or a moment when you can’t see a way out, stories like this remind us why faith can mean so much in our darkest moments.God is still in the miracle-working business.  This episode has a little bit of everything—family, motherhood, friendship, faith, laughter, hard changes, new beginnings, and the absolute chaos of everyday life. Basically… it’s A Little Unhinged.  Listen, follow, rate & review A Little Unhinged wherever you get your podcasts.  Follow us on TikTok: @alittleunhinged26  Have a story, topic, or an “Am I a Little Unhinged?” submission? The Husband Has Entered the Chat: Chris Finally Tells His Side
2026/09/02
Send us Fan Mail The husband has officially entered the chat! 😂 He’s finally getting the microphone and the chance to tell his side of what it’s really like being married to a slightly unhinged woman with a podcast! We’re talking marriage, arguments, therapy, communication, the things Brittney does that drive him crazy, and whether Chris ever worries that his latest mistake might become podcast material. We also put him through a rapid-fire round to find out who’s more stubborn, who apologizes first, who spends more money, and who would survive longer without the other. It’s honest, funny, a little heartfelt, and—of course—a little unhinged. As always, thank you for being here and doing life with us. 💙 Support the show + check out our partners: Special Thanks To Our Sponsors!! The kids survived their first couples of days high school as they tell us!
2026/08/09
Send us Fan Mail Well… they made it through the first few days of HIGH SCHOOL! 🎒🤣 This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re handing the mics over to the kids to hear what they REALLY think about starting high school — at a brand-new school with a building that feels approximately 47 miles long compared to what they’re used to. 😂 We’re talking about the nerves leading up to that first day, trying to figure out where the heck they’re going, navigating a MUCH bigger school, new teachers, new schedules, new people, and all the little things nobody warns you about when you make the jump to high school. What did they think high school was going to be like?  What was actually different?  Did anybody get lost? 👀  What surprised them the most?  And most importantly… would they say the first few days were better or worse than they expected? We also get the parent perspective on watching our kids walk into this huge new chapter — because apparently they’re ready for high school even if WE aren’t. 🥹 It’s funny, honest, a little chaotic, and straight from the kids themselves. 🎧 Grab your coffee, buckle up, and come hang out with us for another episode of A Little Unhinged! That three letter word that can completely erase every compliment, and raising decent human beings!!
2026/07/08
Send us Fan Mail Have you ever noticed how one tiny three-letter word can completely change the meaning of a sentence? This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re talking about the power of the word “but” and why it has a way of erasing every compliment, encouragement, or positive thing that comes before it. Whether you’re talking to your spouse, your kids, your coworkers, or even yourself, that one little word can completely shift how a message is received. We also dive into a conversation that’s becoming more relevant every day—raising decent human beings. What values matter most? How do we teach kindness, accountability, and respect in a world that often seems to be missing those things? And of course, we couldn’t leave out one of our favorite topics: work ethic. Amber and Brittney discuss why they were raised to believe that hard work isn’t optional, why they take pride in giving 100%, and why it sometimes feels like that mindset is becoming harder to find today. In this episode, we discuss: Why the word “but” can unintentionally cancel out a compliment.Better ways to communicate encouragement and constructive feedback. The importance of raising respectful, responsible, and kind humans. Why accountability still matters. Our thoughts on work ethic, personal responsibility, and doing your best—even when no one is watching.Plenty of our usual unfiltered conversations, laughs, and relatable stories along the way.As always, thank you for being here and doing life with us. 💙 Support the show + check out our partners: Special Thanks To Our Sponsors!! 2026/06/25
Send us Fan Mail Who are Brittney and Amber really? From raising kids and marriage to therapy, anxiety, tears, laughter, embarrassing moments, and the chaos that comes with everyday life—we’ve been through it all together. We’re not experts. We’re just two lifelong best friends who aren’t afraid to say the things everyone else is thinking. If you’ve ever wondered whether you belong here, this episode is for you. Whether you’re here for the laughs, the therapy conversations, the unhinged stories, or just looking for two friends to make you feel a little less alone—we’re so glad you found us. Because at the end of the day, everyone needs an Oprah to their Gayle… and we’re just hoping to be the friends you can put on while you’re driving to work, folding laundry, sitting in the school pickup line, or hiding in your bathroom for five minutes of peace. Atlee’s Epilepsy update, Almost getting arrested, and an unhinged listener write in!
2026/06/11
Send us Fan Mail This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re catching everyone up on the whirlwind that has been our life lately. We share an update on Atlee’s epilepsy journey, including her recent hospital stay in Jackson, what doctors found, and where things stand now.  Then we switch gears and tell the story of how one of us almost got arrested. Yes, seriously. It may not be exactly what you’re thinking, but it’s definitely one of the more unhinged situations we’ve found ourselves in lately. And of course, we couldn’t end the episode without diving into another “Am I A Little Unhinged?” listener write-in. This week’s submission has us asking: who’s actually the unhinged one here? Why everyone ACTUALLY does need a “Death Book”, getting your affairs in order, and Memorial Day family outing!
2026/05/27
Send us Fan Mail This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re talking about something nobody wants to think about… until life forces you to. After Amber’s grandfather recently passed away without many of his affairs in order, suddenly Brittney’s “death book” idea doesn’t sound quite so crazy anymore. What started as a joke to some, turned into a very real conversation about grief, family stress, passwords nobody can find, accounts nobody can access, and how unprepared most of us actually are for the unexpected. We talk about why people avoid conversations around death, what every adult should probably have written down somewhere, and the chaos families are left to figure out while grieving. Of course, because this is A Little Unhinged, we also discuss new mother in law  panic, funeral preferences, husbands trying to survive without us, and which people absolutely should NOT be allowed to speak at our funerals or even walk in the visitation line!😂 It’s raw, honest, emotional, practical, and somehow still funny — basically the most unhinged adult conversation we’ve had in a while. So ask yourself this: if something happened to you tomorrow… would anybody know literally what to do or where to find anything? Mother’s Day, Kids, and We are just trying to make it!
2026/05/14
Send us Fan Mail This week’s episode is raw, real, emotional, and honestly… a little all over the place in the best way. We sat down with no script, no real plan, and just talked about life lately — surviving the chaos of Mother’s Day week, trying to keep up with everything on our plates, navigating motherhood, emotions, exhaustion, and the fact that somehow our kids are already about to graduate 8th grade next week. One minute we’re laughing, the next we’re wondering how time is moving this fast and how we’re supposed to handle all the emotions that come with watching our kids grow up right in front of us. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, emotional, stretched thin, sentimental, or like you’re just trying to make it through the week… this episode will probably feel very familiar. Being a mom of four, having a full time job, being a full time wife, and being a content creator showing up online everyday!!
2026/04/30
Send us Fan Mail How is it possible to work full-time, raise four kids, and still show up online every single day… sometimes multiple times a day? This week on A Little Unhinged, we sit down with our close friend Hannah—a full-time nurse, wife, mom of four, and content creator who is somehow doing all of it. From the outside, it doesn’t make sense.  And honestly… we had questions. In this episode, we get into the real, unfiltered side of what this actually looks like:  what her day-to-day life really looks like  how she finds time to create content (and post daily)  when it turned into actual income  the pressure of constantly showing up online  and what people get completely wrong about content creators We also talk about the mental load of juggling everything—work, kids, marriage, and building something on the side—and whether doing it all is actually sustainable. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed just managing your normal day-to-day life… this episode will either inspire you—or make you feel very seen. What the hell am I even doing?! Solo bonus episode.
2026/04/23
Send us Fan Mail This is a little bonus episode… just Brittney, no script, no plan—just real. If you’ve ever found yourself doing everything… showing up, handling life, being a mom, working, trying to build something… and still sitting there thinking what the hell am I even doing?— this one’s for you. Because the truth is, you can be doing your best… genuinely trying… showing up every single day… and still question if it’s enough. And that doesn’t mean you’re failing. Sometimes it just means you’re carrying a lot. In this episode, I’m talking about: The pressure of trying to be everything to everyoneThat constant feeling of “too much vs not enough”The mental load no one really talks aboutAnd why doing your best can still feel like it’s falling shortIf you’re in that space right now… you’re not the only one. Adult mean girls are real and they are exhausting!! We read a listener write in from a friend.

Send us Fan Mail On this week's episode we are talking about how we are still dealing with mean girls even at 40 and how we choose not to surround ourselves with them or fake people. How people are quietly rooting for you to fail sometimes even though they might be cheering you on, and how those local or closest to you are sometimes the last ones to support you. Special Guest, What We’d Tell Our 25-Year-Old Selves (feat. Kate) + The Reality of 40, and calling people out.
2026/03/23
Send us Fan Mail This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re joined by our special guest Kate — a sweet, wise (and honest 😅) 25-year-old who gave us a fresh perspective we didn’t know we needed. We flipped the script and had a real, unfiltered conversation about life at 25 vs. 40… and let’s just say — the expectations vs. reality are VERY different. We asked Kate: • What do you think life looks like at 40? • Where do you hope to be by then? • What actually matters to you right now? And then… we got real about what we wish we knew at 25 — the pressure, the growth, the mistakes, and the things that truly don’t matter (even though we thought they did at the time). Oh… and of course we couldn’t help ourselves — we called some people out this week.  This episode is for: • The women in their 20s trying to figure it all out • The women in their 30s/40s realizing they never had to • And anyone who’s ever looked back and thought… “I wish I knew then what I know now” If you’ve ever questioned your timeline, your choices, or where you “should” be in life — this one’s for you. You’re not behind. You’re becoming. Got a story that makes you question your sanity a little?
