Living Sent: Living on Mission Near and Far
2026/10/15
Living Sent: Living on Mission Near and Far
What does it mean to live as someone who has been sent by God? Whether across the street or across the world, every follower of Jesus is called to make Christ known.
In this episode of The Good Portion, we sit down with Therese, Mary Beth, and Aubrey, who have served in very different ministry contexts—through local evangelism and overseas mission work. Together, we explore what it looks like to communicate the unchanging gospel across different cultures and worldviews, build genuine relationships with those who believe differently, and remain faithful when ministry is difficult or the fruit is slow to come.
From the challenges and joys of cross-cultural ministry to the everyday opportunities right in front of us, this conversation reminds us that living on mission isn't reserved for those who move overseas. Wherever God has placed us, we are called to love others, share the hope of Christ, and live as people who have been sent.
“As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” — John 20:21
Aging Well in a Culture Obsessed with Youth
2026/09/30
Our culture tells women that youth is beautiful, independence is strength, and aging is something to resist. But Scripture offers us a better story.
In this episode, Lindsey is joined by Susanne, Brooke, and Beverly—three women in different seasons of life—to discuss what it means to grow older with faith, purpose, and hope. Together, they consider how anti-aging messages begin shaping women at increasingly young ages, why we are tempted to attach our value to beauty and ability, and what the Bible teaches about dignity, wisdom, dependence, and continuing to bear fruit in every season.
The conversation also touches on the realities of physical decline and caregiving without allowing them to define the aging process. Whether you are in your twenties, fifties, or later years, aging is not merely a future issue. We are all being shaped now for the women we are becoming.
Because of Christ, we do not have to deny the losses that accompany aging—yet we do not have to fear them as though they have the final word.

Dating with Wisdom in a Confusing Culture
2026/09/15
Dating and singleness can each bring unique questions, pressures, and opportunities to trust the Lord. If this is the season you are in, how can you navigate it with biblical wisdom, healthy intentionality, and contentment in Christ? And how can we thoughtfully help the young men and women in our lives do the same?
In this episode, Lindsey sits down with three women who bring perspectives from dating, singleness, parenting adult daughters, and discipling college students. Together, they discuss what should distinguish Christian dating, the kind of person believers should look for, how to recognize genuine character and spiritual fruit, and the role of attraction, boundaries, and Christian community.
Whether you are walking through this season yourself or helping someone you love navigate it, this conversation offers practical, biblical encouragement for honoring Christ in dating, singleness, and relationships.
Spiritual Mothering with Donna Gaines and Teresa Allen
2026/09/01
We are living in a culture marked by loneliness, isolation, and a deep need for meaningful relationships. Women are surrounded by voices telling them how to live, what to value, and who they should become—but where are the faithful women willing to come alongside the next generation and show them what it looks like to follow Jesus?
In this episode of The Good Portion, Lindsey sits down with Donna Gaines and Teresa Allen for an important conversation about the need for spiritual mothers in the church today.
What is a spiritual mother? Who is called to be one? And what does it actually look like to intentionally invest in the women coming behind us?
Spiritual mothering isn't reserved for a select few women with a particular personality or gifting, and it doesn't require a formal mentoring program. It happens when faithful women choose to open their lives, share what God has taught them, offer biblical wisdom, and intentionally point the next generation toward Christ.
If you're a woman who has walked with Jesus, there is someone coming behind you who needs what God has taught you along the way. And if you're longing for a woman to walk alongside you, there may be someone God has already placed in your path.
The church needs women who are willing to reach across generations. Who are you learning from—and who are you bringing with you?
Why Study the Book of Judges with Donna Gaines and Dayna Street
2026/08/18
What can the book of Judges teach us about following God in a culture where everyone seems to be doing what is right in their own eyes?
In this episode of The Good Portion, Lindsey sits down with her mom, Donna Gaines, and Bellevue Women’s Ministry Director, Dayna Street, for a conversation about the book of Judges and the Bible study curriculum our Prince Women are walking through this fall.
They share the story behind the study, why Bellevue Women chose to tackle such a challenging—and sometimes difficult to read—book of the Bible, and what they discovered about the faithfulness of God in the midst of deeply broken people and dark times. They also discuss just how relevant Judges is for us today. Though written thousands of years ago, its themes of cultural confusion, compromise, misplaced worship, and the temptation to do what is right in our own eyes feel remarkably familiar.
Along the way, they talk about the value of studying whole books of the Bible, equipping women to study Scripture for themselves, and approaching difficult passages without fear.
Whether you’re currently studying Judges with us or simply want to grow in your confidence as a student of God’s Word, we hope this conversation encourages you to keep opening your Bible, asking good questions, and looking for the faithful King we so desperately need.
Bonus Episode: Find Your Next Step This Fall
2026/07/14
We’re back with a bonus summer episode as we look ahead to all that’s coming this fall at Prince!
In this episode, Lindsey sits down with Emily Swartz, Theresa Byrd, and Lori Buffington to talk about three opportunities you may not know as much about: Wednesday night Equip classes, Re|engage marriage ministry, and a newer ministry at Prince called Re:generation—or Re:gen for short.
Our hope is that women of all ages in our church family and throughout our community will prayerfully consider how God may be calling them to step in and get connected this fall. Ask the Lord to show you the right next step—and then take that step of obedience into all He has for you in this next season.

Making the Most of Summer: Living With Purpose in Every Season
2026/05/05
Summer can slip by quickly—filled with pressure, busyness, or good intentions that never quite take shape. But what if instead of trying to perfect summer, we learned to steward it?
In this episode, Lindsey is joined by Mandy, Jessica, and Kristin for a thoughtful conversation on living with intentionality, presence, and rest across every season of life. Together, they share honest insight and practical rhythms for slowing down, focusing on what matters most, and creating space for meaningful connection—with both people and the Lord.
Whether you're in a full or quieter season, this episode will help you shift from “How do I make summer great?” to “How can I be faithful with the summer I’ve been given?”
Foster Care Awareness
2026/04/27
In honor of Foster Care Awareness Month coming up in May, this episode invites us into a meaningful, Christ-centered conversation about caring for some of the most vulnerable among us.
Lindsey sits down with Allison and Rachel—two foster moms who share their personal journeys into foster care, what led them to say “yes,” and how God has met them every step of the way. Through both beautiful and difficult moments, they offer an honest look at the realities of fostering—the joy, the heartbreak, and the deep ways it shapes faith and family.
Together, we explore the biblical call to care for children, the urgent need for foster families, and the vital role the Church plays in supporting them. You’ll hear stories of connection, growth, and God’s faithfulness, along with the challenges that come with loving children in hard places.
Whether you’ve felt a nudge toward foster care or simply want to learn how to support those who are fostering, this conversation will encourage you that obedience matters more than perfection—and that every believer has a role to play.
You don’t have to have all the answers to take a step. You just have to be willing to say yes.

Ephesians 4–6: Walking Worthy of the Calling
2026/04/20
We’re wrapping up our three-part series on the book of Ephesians by stepping into chapters 4–6—where doctrine becomes daily life.
In this final conversation, Lindsey sits down with Lisa and Cynthia to talk about what it looks like to walk in light of who we are in Christ. Together, we explore God’s design for unity in the church, the role each of us plays in building up the body, and how humility, love, and truth hold us together.
We also lean into some of the more challenging and beautiful passages on submission and order in relationships—asking what it really means to reflect Christ in our homes, our friendships, and our communities.
And finally, we turn to the reality of spiritual warfare, unpacking the armor of God and what it looks like to stand firm in faith in the middle of everyday life.
Whether you’ve been walking through Ephesians with us in women's Bible study or are just joining in, this episode is an invitation to live grounded, unified, and strong in the Beloved.
In the Waiting: Morgan’s Infertility Journey
2026/04/13
In this deeply tender episode, Susanne and Meredith sit down with Morgan to hear her story of walking through infertility and loss. With honesty and courage, Morgan shares what it has looked like to grieve, to wrestle with God, and to continue trusting Him in the middle of unanswered prayers.
Together, they talk about the quiet loneliness that often accompanies infertility, the weight of loss, and the ways faith can feel both anchoring and difficult in seasons of deep pain. Morgan also shares how God has met her in her grief—not with easy answers, but with His presence.
Whether this is part of your story or you’re walking alongside someone who is hurting, this conversation offers gentle encouragement, practical insight, and a reminder that you are not alone. God is near to the brokenhearted, and He sees every tear.

Why Serving Within the Local Church Matters
2026/03/09
In this episode, Lindsey sits down with Hollie, Emma, and Susanne for an honest conversation about why serving in the local church truly matters. Three of these women currently serve on staff, and one volunteers faithfully after previously serving on staff—each bringing a unique perspective on what it looks like to use your gifts to build up the body of Christ.
Together they discuss how serving is not just about filling a role, but about spiritual growth, deeper connection, and participating in the mission God has given His church. When every believer steps into their unique calling, the church functions as it was designed—but when parts of the body remain inactive, something important is missing.
In this conversation, they talk about:
Why serving strengthens our own faith
How God uses serving to grow and shape us
The beauty of the church functioning as a body where every part matters
The relationships and community that form when we serve together
What’s at stake when believers stay on the sidelines
Why serving as a family—and modeling it for our children—matters for the next generation
Whether you’re already serving or still wondering where you fit, this episode will encourage you to see the vital role you play in the life of the church.

Whether you’re wrestling with a sense of calling yourself or walking alongside a young woman who is, this conversation is meant to inspire courage, clarity, and obedience.
