WHEN THE OLD PATHS LED US HOME.[The Traditions of Yesterday and the Truths We Must Never Lose] Jeremiah 6:16 KJV Using the history and simple traditions of Taylorsville, Georgia, my message from Jeremiah 6:16 explores the spiritual heritage of earlier generations and the biblical truths we must preserve. From old country stores and church homecomings to the faith passed down through families, we discover that although times change, God's Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ remain the same. A call to remember our heritage, retain God's truth, and rekindle our faith for the next generation. "We cannot go back and live in yesterday, but we can take the God of yesterday with us into tomorrow!" The greatest treasure our forefathers left us wasn't an old building, an old store, or an old-fashioned way of life. We cannot bring back yesterday, but we can bring its godly principles into tomorrow.

Let them all be gathered together, Let them stand up; Yet they shall fear, They shall be ashamed together. 12 The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals, Fashions it with hammers, And works it with the strength of his arms. Even so, he is hungry, and his strength fails; He drinks no water and is faint. 13 The craftsman stretches out his rule, He marks one out with chalk; He fashions it with a plane, He marks it out with the compass, And makes it like the figure of a man, According to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house. 14 He cuts down cedars for himself, And takes the cypress and the oak; He secures it for himself among the trees...
