This week on the Brief Talk Podcast, UNB Tim sits down with Scott, founder of Sweaty Johnson, a jockstrap brand that combines classic inspiration, premium fabrics, comfort, humor, and a whole lot of personality. Scott shares the unexpected story behind starting Sweaty Johnson after working long hours in the oil industry, stepping away to run a nonprofit, and eventually deciding he wanted to build something of his own. Even the name has a family connection—Scott’s last name is Johnson, and his dad was the one who suggested “Sweaty Johnson.” From there, Tim and Scott get deep into jockstraps. Scott explains why Sweaty Johnson doesn’t simply put its logo on an existing product. The brand develops its own pouches and focuses heavily on fabrics, construction, waistband proportions, comfort, and fit.
