Abandoned | Unintended Consequences
2026/10/04
Pastor Jason kicks off the new sermon series "Abandoned".
Pack For Eternity | Letting Go Of Control
2026/09/29
Most of us live under the illusion that if we plan well enough and work hard enough, we can control what happens to us. But true faith requires releasing that grip and trusting God with every area of life, not just the parts we are comfortable surrendering. Partial surrender is really just negotiation, and halfway trust often leads to real pain. Surrender is not a one-time decision but a daily practice of opening our hands and saying, not my will, but Yours. God's mercies are new every morning, which means every day is a fresh opportunity to return to surrender. This life is a vapor compared to eternity, and the illusion of control is something we were never meant to carry into what comes next.
Pack for Eternity | Letting Go of Distractions
2026/09/15
Distraction is one of the greatest threats to living with eternal purpose, and it does not have to be dramatic to be destructive. The enemy does not need you to walk away from God entirely. He just needs you slightly off course, and over time, small distractions can lead you far from where God intended you to be. Three practical moves can help when distraction is pulling you off course: diminish the distractions, focus on what is truly important, and learn to listen for the voice of God. Like Peter walking on water, the moment your eyes shift from Jesus to the storm around you, you begin to sink. God has given you an assignment, and the time is too short to spend it on things that carry no eternal weight. The question worth asking is not just what you are doing with your time, but what you are packing for eternity.
Pack For Eternity | Travel Light
2026/09/09
We live in a culture that constantly tells us we need more, but the oldest lie ever told is that what we do not have is exactly what we need to be happy. Jesus warned against every kind of greed, not just the obvious kind, and the rich young man in Matthew 19 walked away sad because he discovered what he truly worshiped. Our possessions can quietly become our identity without us even realizing it. The things we accumulate on earth were never designed to satisfy the longings of a heart wired for eternity. Traveling light is not just about having less stuff. It is about shifting our focus from what we can get to what we can give. A full hand cannot help anyone, and generosity requires open hands. Jesus held nothing back for us, and reflecting on that kind of sacrifice makes it a little easier to loosen our grip on the things of this world.
Next Chapter | The God of the Next Chapter
2026/09/01
Naomi returned to Bethlehem broken, bitter, and convinced the best of her life was behind her. She judged her entire story by the painful chapter she was living in, never seeing what God was already preparing. Through Ruth's faithfulness, Boaz's willingness to pay the price of redemption, and the birth of a son named Obed, God was quietly writing a story that would reach far beyond anything Naomi could have imagined. Obed became the grandfather of King David, and through David's family line, Jesus entered the world. The painful chapter was never the final chapter. God is doing more in your story than you can see from where you are standing right now.
Next Chapter | Sifted
2026/08/26
Hard seasons can feel purposeless, but God uses them the way a threshing floor separates wheat from chaff. He is not punishing you in your pain. He is sifting out what is empty so that what is solid can remain. The story of Ruth shows three things that difficult seasons refine in us: clinging becomes commitment, complaint becomes service, and anxiety becomes honorable patience. Boaz, as a family Redeemer, is a picture of Jesus, who steps into our broken stories and makes us whole. Your current chapter is not evidence that God has forgotten you. It is preparation for the next one.
Next Chapter | Finding the Love (and Life) You Actually Want
2026/08/18
Ruth Chapter 2 reveals three powerful truths about faith, character, and love that are just as relevant today as they were in ancient Israel. God's providence is often disguised as ordinary coincidence, quietly working through the everyday moments of life to bring about His perfect will. Ruth ended up in Boaz's field not by accident, but by divine design. Boaz noticed Ruth not because of her appearance, but because of her reputation for loyalty and sacrifice. His response to her went far beyond what the law required, offering protection, dignity, and generous provision. This is a picture of godly love, one that exceeds obligation and honors the other person deeply. And ultimately, the story of Ruth and Boaz is a reflection of the gospel itself, reminding us that God does not leave us gleaning on the edges but invites us fully in.
Next Chapter | When it's Time to Leave Moab
2026/08/11
The Book of Ruth opens with a family who left the right place for the wrong reasons, and it cost them everything. Elimelech, whose name means 'my God is king,' stopped living like it the moment pressure arrived. He led his family to Moab, a place outside of God's calling, and ten years of slow drift ended in three funerals. But the story does not end in loss. When Naomi heard that God had blessed Judah again, she turned back. Ruth chose to go with her, taking one courageous step toward Bethlehem without a plan or a guarantee. No matter how far you have wandered from where God has called you, it is never too late to turn around.
Deeper Waters | The Manna Trap
2026/08/04
It is easy to come to God with a list of needs, but what happens when we start valuing His gifts more than we value Him? In John 6, Jesus confronted a crowd that chased Him across a lake, not because of who He was, but because He had fed them. He saw through their motivation and pointed them toward something far greater than a miracle meal. Drawing on the story of manna in the wilderness, we see how God designed daily dependence as a test of trust, and how the Israelites repeatedly tried to stockpile their way out of needing faith. Jesus declared Himself to be the bread of life, offering not just provision but His very presence. The peace, purpose, and satisfaction we chase cannot be found in His gifts alone. They are found in Him.
Deeper Waters | Fruits
2026/07/28
The fruits of the Spirit described in Galatians 5 are not just a children's Sunday school lesson. They are a call for every believer to reflect Jesus in their daily life, relationships, and interactions. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are meant to be visible to the people around us, especially those who do not yet know Jesus. Just as an athlete must develop their weakest skills, believers must identify and grow in the fruits they lack most. The enemy will always target your weakest area, so staying in the Word, surrounding yourself with godly people, and bringing your specific struggles to God in prayer are essential steps. The goal is not perfection but consistency, bearing genuine fruit whether you are at church, at work, in traffic, or at home.
Deeper Waters | Just Show Up
2026/07/21
Faith is not always about grand gestures or perfect moments. Sometimes, the most powerful thing a believer can do is simply show up. Consistent presence in prayer, worship, family, church, and community is one of the most underrated acts of obedience in the Christian life. When you show up, you bring God's presence with you, because your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Showing up positions you for miracles, builds your faith during seasons of waiting, and is itself a genuine act of worship. Every time you choose to be present, even when it is hard or feels insignificant, seeds are being planted for a future harvest. God sees every quiet act of faithfulness, and your consistency is never invisible to Him.
Deeper Waters | Little Fires Everywhere
2026/07/14
God has placed a calling on every believer's life, and with that calling comes a grace gift designed to help fulfill it. Like a coal carried in a horn of fire, discipleship passes the flame of faith from one person to another across generations. Faith is not about feeling ready or qualified. It is about showing up, moving forward, and trusting that God has already equipped you. Paul reminded Timothy that God has not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. That same truth applies to every believer today. The gift God placed in you is real, but it requires intentional effort to grow. Fan the flame by pursuing a mentor, investing in someone else, and choosing faith over fear in every hard moment.
Deeper Waters | Youth Takeover
2026/07/07
It is easy to say God is first in your life, but your schedule and your sacrifices tell the real story. What we spend our time on reveals what we actually value most. There is a significant difference between inviting Jesus into your life and making Him the center of it. The disciples did not follow Jesus on their own terms. They left everything. A sacrifice only becomes a sacrifice when it costs you something real. God is not asking to be a part of your life. He is worthy of being the center of it. The greatest gift is not what God gives us. It is that we get Him.
Deeper Waters | You Give Them Something To Eat
2026/06/30
When the need in front of us feels far greater than what we have to offer, it is easy to step back and wait for someone else to act. But in Mark chapter 6, Jesus looks at His disciples and says, 'You give them something to eat.' That challenge is just as personal today as it was then. God is not limited by our limited resources. He simply asks us to bring what we have, trust His strategy, and be filled with His Spirit so we have something real to give. The world around us is hungry, not just for bread, but for love, joy, peace, and the fruit of a life surrendered to God. The miracle begins when we stop holding back and start placing what we have in His hands.
Sleeping with Lions
2026/06/23
Daniel's peace in the lion's den was not accidental. It was the result of years of consistent, private faithfulness long before any crisis arrived. When the law was signed making prayer illegal, Daniel simply continued praying as usual, because his faith was already built. The real enemy Daniel faced was not the administrators who plotted against him or even the lions themselves, but the spiritual forces working behind the scenes. His trust in God, not his circumstances, determined his outcome. King Darius could not sleep that night, but Daniel, locked in a den with lions, apparently could. His obedience left a legacy so powerful that a pagan king declared the greatness of God to every nation in his kingdom. The most important faith you will ever build is the one formed in the quiet, ordinary moments before the storm arrives.
