All Things Becoming New, All Things Becoming New requires trust
2026/10/24
This weekend Pastor Todd Carter kicked off our new series by taking us out on the Sea of Galilee with Jesus, Peter, and the disciples. There he showed us that everything God wants to make new in our lives begins with trust. Jesus sees us in the storm and stands on top of whatever we fear. Our trust grows as we “remember the loaves,” the times God has already come through, and it becomes real when we answer Jesus’ invitation to “Come.” Speaker: Todd Carter
For, For... The Forgotten
2026/10/17
As our "For..." series continues, Pastor Rodney Elliott takes us to Matthew 25, where Jesus describes the day he returns as King and separates the sheep from the goats, the true right and left. To those on his right he says, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat... I was a stranger and you invited me in," and both groups are surprised to learn that whatever they did, or did not do, for the least of these, they did for him. In an election season full of promises, Pastor Rodney asks whether caring for the forgotten is something we only vote for or something we actually do. He shares about delivering a mattress through CarePortal to a family who had slept on the floor for over a year, even though the breadwinner was working three jobs, and about the moment he realized a close friend had gone two weeks without food while he was too busy to notice. The sheep were not working for their salvation; they were working from a changed heart. The forgotten are never forgotten by God, and they should not be forgotten by us. Speaker: Rodney Elliott
For, For... Schools
2026/10/10
Pathway is kicking off a new series called For, because we want to be known for what we are for, not what we are against, and week one begins with our schools. Christian Hallberg reminded us that being for our schools is not about buildings or policies but about people: students carrying hard things from home, teachers who give so much of themselves, and the leaders making decisions for thousands of families. In Jeremiah 29, God told his people in exile not to wait for a quick rescue but to build houses, plant gardens, increase rather than decrease, and seek the peace and prosperity of the very city that had conquered them. Christian challenged us to notice how easily we tie God’s goodness to our circumstances, withdraw into a protective bubble, and put conditions on grace that was given to us without conditions. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be residents, not visitors, in the communities God has given us. And Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans to give us hope and a future hold true especially in the dark and uncertain seasons. Speaker: Christian Hallberg
OneLife, Share Jesus
2026/10/03
In the final message of OneLife, Jarred Peine teaches from Acts 4, tracing Peter's story from fear to boldness. Peter denies Jesus three times out of fear the night before the crucifixion, but after receiving the Holy Spirit, that same Peter stands unflinching before the council that kills Jesus and declares, "We cannot stop talking about Jesus Christ." Jarred shows that what changes Peter isn't willpower, it is the Holy Spirit living inside him, and that same Spirit is available to us. He closes with a story about his friend David, whose one invitation leads to multiple baptisms in his extended family, and gives the church this week's I Will statement: pray boldly for courage to share Jesus with your one. The message ends with the whole church praying together, first for boldness in general, then specifically for their ones. Speaker: Jarred Peine
OneLife, Share Stories
2026/09/26
Christian Hallberg teaches OneLife Part 3 from Acts 22, where Paul, arrested and beaten by a mob in Jerusalem, tells his own story to explain who Jesus is and why his life changes. Christian shows how Paul builds common ground with his listeners before ever mentioning the dramatic Damascus Road encounter, and uses that pattern to give the church a simple, repeatable framework for sharing their own faith: before, Jesus, after. He is honest that many believers wrongly disqualify themselves from sharing their story because it doesn't feel dramatic or complete enough, and points out that new believers, who often feel least equipped, tend to be the best at this precisely because their story is so real and fresh. The message closes with an invitation to actually go share your story with someone this week. Speaker: Christiah Hallberg
OneLife, Insights From New Followers
2026/09/19
Instead of a traditional sermon, Pastor Rodney Elliott interviewed three members of the Pathway family, Eric, Shannon, and Ron, about their journeys to faith. Each described real pain before knowing Jesus: compounding loss and divorce, alcoholism and depression, addiction and grief, and each described a specific person who reached out to them, walked alongside them, and eventually saw them baptized. Rodney tied their stories back to Luke 15, where Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep to explain why He pursued the tax collectors and sinners the religious leaders of His day had written off. The message closed with a reminder that heaven rejoices over exactly this kind of story, and an invitation for anyone ready to take that same step toward Jesus. Speaker: Rodney Elliott
OneLife, Share Life
2026/09/12
Pastor Todd Carter opens Pathway's new OneLife series with the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19, a wealthy, widely hated tax collector who climbs a tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus. Todd shows how Jesus models three moves toward someone far from Him: He leaves the crowd to pursue Zacchaeus directly, He leads with love and shares a meal before addressing anything in Zacchaeus's life, and He stays at the table long enough for a real conversation to unfold. Todd traces those same three moves through stories from the Pathway family, from a man who leaves his comfort zone to lead a prison ministry to a small group leader who stays faithful to the same group of boys for fifteen years, and closes by inviting the church into a new season of prayer and intentional relationship with the people in their lives who don't yet know Jesus.
