Our celebration of Women's History Month continues with Dr. Jen Welter who broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first female coach in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals. She is an author of multiple books, first female coach featured in Madden 20 and hosts youth football camps through #GrrridironGirls. RJ sit's down with Karlyn Dixon who is a coach, entrepreneur, and teacher. Karlyn is the co-founder of The Elite Athlete Training Academy, L.L.C. in Charlotte, North Carolina. Karlyn and RJ  talk about her career and what keeps her motivated throughout struggles. Karlyn's honest and upbeat outlook will bring refreshing insight to your day. Listen in for some incredible pieces of advice for athletes of all ages!    Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Karlyn Dixon graduated Cum Laude from the Catholic University of America with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Philosophy minor. While at Catholic University, Dixon also played women’s basketball for the Lady Cardinals where she was a part of the winningest class in history at Catholic. Her sophomore and junior year, the Lady Cardinals won back to back Landmark Conference Championships and made two appearances in the NCAA Div. III tournament. In Dixon's senior year she was chosen to serve as a captain for the Lady Cardinals. During her college career, Dixon was afforded the opportunity to work behind the scenes as an employee of the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center, an intern in the athletic department at George Washington University, as well as an administrative assistant and basketball trainer at Carolinas' Basketball Academy. Being fortunate enough to work with such great professionals and her overall passion for sports helped fuel her desire to pursue a career in the sport industry and obtain a Master's of Education in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dixon believes that sports coupled with academics can help a person achieve great success.
