I am an art teacher in the public school and I am going to be having conversations with some of the most insightful people I know. Jane Goodall once said, "only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, shall we be saved." My guests will be contributing thoughts and observations from their own personal experiences to help figure out how to change the culture of public schools to help make it a place students and staff look forward to coming to every day:) The people I am interviewing will be the vanguard for generating the conversation needed for establishing an environment that students and staff genuinely thrive in.

Hello! We are kicking off the first episode of "Seeing the Sun Through the Clouds" with friend/guest Ashlee Garrison :) Ashlee and I are going to be discussing ways in which we can overcome student and teacher attrition in public schools and ways we can change the culture of the school environment to enhance both student and staff performance :) Today, we are starting a dialogue so that we can take a step toward making this change and improve quality and equity in our public schools.
