He's our guest as he looks back on reaching a personal goal and looks ahead to the WHL Championship series against the Spokane Chiefs on home ice this weekend.What a final season in the WHL for Portland Winterhawks D Tyson Jugnauth. He's the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy winner as the WHL Defenseman of the Year.  He joins the show as he made his way back from Portland following the end of his season.13 WHL'ers plus staff helped Canada win a IIHF U-18 gold medal in Texas.  We'll hear from some of the key contributors from the WHL contingent.Finally, what a moment for WHL Alumni Adam Lowry. WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look at both the Spokane Chiefs and Medicine Hat Tigers advancing to the WHL Championship Series for the Ed Chynoweth Cup.  We will take you back to the series clinching games as both teams advance via a series sweep.  The Tigers and Chiefs open up the WHL Championship Series May 9th in Medicine Hat, AB.What a final season in the WHL for Prince Albert Raiders G Max Hildebrandt.  The Del Wilson Memorial Trophy winner for the WHL's top goaltender will join us.  Max will look back on the season and look ahead towards an NCAA commitment to Bemidji State. For the first time as a General Manager, Spokane's Matt Bardsley has won the WHL's Lloyd Saunders Memorial Award as the league's top executive.  We'll hear from Matt on the award and the key moves and acquisitions which have led the Chiefs to the WHL Championship series.

We'll have the highlights.Mike Boyle had quite the day in Spokane.  The longtime Chiefs broadcaster pulled off a two sport play-by-play doubleheader that culminated with a double overtime thriller at the Spokane Arena.Finally, former WHL player/Head Coach of the Saskatoon Blades Mitch Love had a front row seat to NHL history.  The Assistant Coach of the Washington Capitals tells us more about Alexander Ovechkin's chase of history and his time so far with the Capitals organization.

The top prospect for the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft is regarded as Regina's Maddox Schultz of the U-18 AAA Regina Pat Canadians.Victory+ is the WHL's new streaming provider and viewership numbers broke WHL records in the 1st round of the Playoffs.  WHL Commissioner Dan Near joins us to share some of the significant numbers and what might be next for the WHL and Victory+.We had a thrilling end to the 1st round.  We'll take you back to three endings including two Game Sevens and a double OT thriller between US Division rivals.Finally, the Medicine Hat Tigers and Prince Albert Raiders are set for battle in the 2nd round.  Tigers F Ryder Ritchie is our guest as he matches up against his former team.

We'll take you back to his return on the ice and the special moment in Medicine Hat.Finally, we'll have the latest WHL Award Nominees and a look at the Players of the Month for March.

Hear from WHL Commissioner Dan Near after the official word in the South Okanagan.  Hear from Vees owner Graham Fraser and Head Coach / General Manager Fred Harbinson.In Chilliwack, an ownership application process has been launched for a franchise to begin play in 2026-27. We will take you to that announcement.There is a new all-time WHL wins leader among goaltenders.  Calgary Hitmen G Daniel Hauser set the new mark in the final weekend of the regular season. WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look at three key Divisional races heading into the final weekend of the regular season. With all 16 playoffs spots secured, the BC, Central and East Division titles are all up for grabs with just two games to play. Adding to it, several of the teams competing for a Division title all play head-to-head games to round out the season.The WHL and Victory+ have teamed up to offer a new free streaming service for all WHL games beginning with the 2025 WHL Playoffs.  Neil Gruninger is the CEO of A Parent Media Co. Inc which operates Victoty+. He'll join us to give us more information on the product and what WHL fans can expect.  The WHL's Bob Ridley Award for Media Excellence was presented to the family of the late Greg Meachem recently in Red Deer.  Greg's longtime friend Danny Rode joins us. He'll discuss Greg's character and his legacy of covering the Red Deer Rebels and the WHL.----------

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look at the race a top the US Division and the Western Conference.  The Everett Silvertips won a key showdown on Wednesday Night in the 'Dub which pushes them to closer to the #1 seed.The University of Saskatchewan Huskies won the Canada West Men's Hockey Championship this past weekend. Now, the roster of WHL alumni will head to the USPORTS National Championships in Ottawa. The Huskies are coached by former longtime Spokane Chief Brandin Cote.  He'll be our guest.A four goal, one assist weekend for Saskatoon Blades F Hunter Laing has netted him the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. He'll talk about his weekend and the Blades in the hunt for an East Division title.  Finally, the Brandon Wheat Kings will honour legend Brian Propp this weekend with a Hall of Fame Induction. We'll hear from one of the all-time leading scorers in WHL history ahead of the event.

He talks about how the event came together and what he's looking forward to when the Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Kelowna Rockets in a pair of exhibition games. What a season for former Portland Winterhawks D Clay Hanus.  The Canada West Player of the Year and his Calgary based Mount Royal Cougars will play for a Canada West title this weekend in Saskatoon against the U of S.  Hanus joins us ahead of the final as he takes advantage of the WHL Scholarship program now in year three of University.The Seattle Thunderbirds are pushing for the final playoff spot in the West.  Head Coach Matt O'Dette joins us to talk about the team's turnaround since the trade deadline.What a season for Victoria Royals F Teydon Trembecky.  With 42 goals so far this season, his past weekend's performance earned him the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. We'll get his thoughts.

He's been named the WHL Goaltender of the Week - he'll join us to wrap up the show.
