All of the Day is back! It's been a couple weeks so Derek has brought a lot of games to the table. Triangle Strategy, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Chrono Cross to be exact. Meanwhile Cheston found himself wrist deep in Lego Star Wars and Tunic! Setzer took the time to finally complete the FF XIV expansion. It was a long time coming boys but he liked it so the wait was worth it. In the news corner, super games are discussed. What even is a super game anyway? Well, we'll find out! The pricing of the latest Sonic port is also discussed along with the burning question of "why the hell don't they port Saturn games ever?" Also Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced. Cheston has finally cleared Earthbound after like a 20 year odyssey and has also put in some time with that there kirbeh. Setzer very briefly got into Final Fantasy XIV and Derek very briefly got into Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Once again, Elden Ring dominates the 'what have we been playing' segment as both Derek and Setzer finished the fight! What did they think? ...Well spoiler they like it a lot. In the news...not much is going on this week so the fellas talk about the dumpster fire that is Gran Turismo 7 and then spin that off into a conversation about grinding in general. Two whole maps are also being added to Halo. Wow! Then there's also some fun kicking around of ollllll Dragon Age 4. Poor game is due for a win any day now! Finally, in our game, Chef Chesteau is back! We choose between the most unfortunate horizon title, whether Metroid Prime 4 beats Dragon Age 4 out the door and whether the Switch OLED or Steam Deck is the definitive portable gaming system. All of the Day is back! Hooray! This week feels like a continuation of last week as far as what we've been up to. Setzer is still tinkering away at Scarlet Nexus until Elden Ring comes out, Cheston is still plugging away at Earthbound (and also at a network test for the wii sports sequel zero people asked for) and Derek finished the Sonic Unleashed epic that was like a year in the making! ...And also played some Horizon Forbidden West. Exciting! In the news, Nintendo is closing down the eshop for the 3DS and Wii U. Didn't learn your lesson from Sony eh? Platinum is potentially dangling itself out for purchase, physical games are becoming more niche and....despite expecting nothing, Derek was STILL disappointed with some recent WWE 2K news. How will he endure? In the game segment this week, the prices of some 'rare' games are discussed. Welcome back to All of the Day! We took a couple of weeks off because Derek (49ers) and Cheston (Rams) had teams that went deep into the NFL playoffs, but we are back now! This week Setzer wraps up the long and winding road that was Red Dead Redemption 2, Cheston plays some Xenoblade Chronicles and Derek touches on a little game called Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In the news, wow, there were a lot of acquisitions while we were gone! If we took another week off, Nintendo might have been purchased by Sony or something! ...Let's hope not. The metaverse and whether bad games are better than bland games also gets some discussion. This week, a price is right style game is played. The boys have to guess the prices of some famous DLC. How much did Horse Armor cost? How about Protoman in Mega Man 9? Who wins a...BRAND NEW CAR? Or nothing at all but bragging rights really? All of the Day is back again! This week, Cheston gets to experience fatherhood for a second time by welcoming in his second child! Despite this, he had time to get himself wrist deep into Paper Mario. Derek played the classic Ninja Gaiden Black and Setzer is still beating the Red Dead Redemption 2 drum...which he might be doing for a while yet. In the news, NF...just kidding, no NFT news this week! Yay! But we do talk about microtransactions in Halo again and Microsoft wishing for a way to universally ban problematic people. It should be noted that this episode was recorded BEFORE the Microsoft/Activision mega acquisition so that is not mentioned at all. The topic of Roblox and monetizing children is also broached. Just what everyone wanted, adult men talking about Roblox! For this week's little game, we have fun with IGN's Top 100 games list. Could we do better? Not likely.
